This 99c app simply does not work Mr Mohomad Absolsalem is making money on a product that is usless. I have pointed the cross in the camera at door 3metres away and get distance readings of 18 to 20 metres. The App Store has a responsibility to test the products that they sell and make sure they work.

Interesting way to measure!
iMeasureDistance is a pretty unique app that uses the iPhone's accelerometer and camera to measure distance. You basically just point the camera at an object and the app will tell you how far away it is. You can help increase accuracy by including the iPhone's height from ground level.
It is a nice way to get a quick estimate, but for serious and precise measurement, I would not recommend this app -- it is generally 10% - 25% off.
The icons on the bottom of the screen seem a bit sloppy and unprofessional. The information screen is blurry and inconsistent with other text in the title screen. Also, the last screenshot could use an update. This needs some improvement, but I see a lot of potential here.

good idea, bad execution
the idea is very smart, however it was not delivered good. the app was very buggy and the controls were incredibly confusing. i think the developer needs to go back to the drawing board and take his time because this app was not very well designed. Even the icon itself was not very attracting

Super inaccurate for me. Great concept, but kind of a fail. Not even very easy to use.

Nice idea, but I don't think it works... I was using it in door at night though. Maybe I did not use it right.
a great app with a few bugs
this app is really handy because it lets you measure things with just using your iPhone or iPod or iPad. the user interface is very weak, and could use more of an update. switching between modes is easy to do without a hassle. there are a few bugs, due to the lighting and color the situation you are examining, but these can be expected. 4stars/5stars!
