The best maps need CarPlay
Melway are still by far the best clearest maps not only in Australia but anywhere in the world. BUT they have not kept up with technology. Why did they miss the GPS / SatNav bandwagon. And still today they can’t be used on CarPlay. This is a real pity and a missed business opportunity for AusWay
Frequent crashing
When zooming in or out and dragging the map around. App is currently unusable. (More than likely due to the new version being released).
Does the job.
This app is simple and reliable. The app has never crashed and it works great on iOS. It works on the new iPads and iPhones, the map is nice and clear, and it is friendly with coordinates.
However, I feel the app would benefit greatly from having a sketch/draw feature where you can use the map to draw your own routes while utilising the GPS to make sure you’re on the right track.

Zoom in to enlarge printing
The zoom in only works to a point, after that, the screen arrows over the maps and it’s in shadow.
