Abandoned?

This is a great piece of software but it seems to have been abandoned, no updates for almost a year now and it’s clear they put all their resources for the iPad version of Luminar as that gets regular updates. It’s still good but what’s the point of a subscription to a service that is no longer being updated? The whole point of subscriptions is to get a constant stream of content and updates to justify it. Hopefully they’ll return to this app and update it in the future.

I wish this were new ipad app

I love this app! But I wish the new ipad app worked as smooth as this one

This is so bad - where is Neo?

I can’t adjust the quality of the exports and the controls are so bad. I just want luminar neo on iPad. This is soooo far from that experience that it’s crazy. Luminar neo presets that I’ve already bought transferring over here to iPad would be an amazing experience. Maybe someday.

Hi! Thank you so much for the feedback! We have already passed your useful suggestions on to the team.

Not Free

As a paid customer for Skylum there is no reason to also pay for this app. It needs to be free for those that paid. As much as we spend. This company fails to provide the basics

Response from developer

Hi! Appreciate you sharing your feedback. I made sure to forward it to our product team. However, please kindly note that Imgmi is a different app, not a mobile version of Luminar, thus, we do not provide it to Luminar users for free. We appreciate your understanding!

Saves edits in VERY LOW RESOLUTION.

I use this on my 11” iPad Pro and speed seems ok. Power line removal works well, sky replacement works well except no reflections in water scenes. I could not find a sharpen slider in the edit settings. The biggest thing that makes this unusable is that edits are saved as 2M files regardless of original file size. This noticeably reduces sharpness and details. It seems this software was meant to be used on small screen devices like smartphones where the resolution would not be as noticeable. Until the edited files can be saved in full, original resolution I cannot recommend this software. I am looking forward this being corrected in a future update. I am currently a Luminar Neo user and have been happy with Skylum updating software making it function better. How do you turn the software off?

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us! Definitely, it can always be improved, so I shared your feedback with our developers.

Great Beginning

A nice app with many tools from earlier Luminars. It would be great to have full integration with Apple Photo as with Luminar. Sky replacement is quick. I would love to see the ability to add dodge and burn. The iPad has a wonderful tool with the Apple Pencil, I would love to see support for this potentially powerful tool. I am excited to see this powerful app develop.

Hi! Thank you for the 5-star review! We have passed your feature request on to the team.

Half an editor

This is really disappointing coming from the company behind Luminar. It feels really half baked. I love that some of their AI tools have made it in.

The good:
- The interface is intuitive.
- The AI tools are great.
These are alone are almost worthy of 5 stars

Things that need to be improved:
- Export: only 80% quality jpeg is awful. Let me export HEIC (this need to be done on all Skylum apps - but especially an iPhone app) and let me select the compression quality. HEIC can support lossless - please allow this.
TIFF support would be great too!

- I have no clue how much I’ve edited a photo so I can replicate it on another photo. There are no numbers or ways of measuring how much saturation I’ve applied or how much of anything I’ve done.

- sharpening and grain are missing. I thought these were default tools on all photo editing stuff.

These very basic features are available in tons in FREE editors.
These grievances are worthy of losing 3 stars.

One little suggestion

Hi, Imgmi’s developer! Could you please make the cutout tool have abundant application scenarios? I mean I’d remove and replace all types of backgrounds, not just the sky. I’m thankful to you for seeing the need.

Response from developer

Hi! - Thank you for your feedback and suggestion. We'll pass them on to our product team for their further consideration.

Great start…but

I try to support your company but there is no excuse for not telling us you are turning a 12mpix image into a 7mpix image. It may be a better edited image but …

Question about pricing

I really like what I have had an opportunity to experience with imgmi. I use Neo on my MBPro so I am accustomed to your fine products. I would like to make a one-time purchase of imgmi at the listed $24.99 price. There is a confusing pricing list in my Apple subscriptions with three different prices for a year. There is no listing for a one-time purchase. Please help me to do figure this out

Fix your problems

I have a 7 days free trial and if I want to buy the app one time I don’t have that option, only yearly.

Less that Beta quality

I am a happy user of Luminar Neo and love their products. However this app is no where near ready to be released to the general public. I performed many edits to an image then pressed the + for a new image and the new image loaded, totally discarding my edits on the previous image without warning. To save an edited image you have to know that you have to select the share icon and select Save Image from the dropdown list, rather than a save button. There is no standard undo option from the all the editing options like exist in Neo. The app does not follow standard Apple interface guidelines or the interface examples of the other Luminar products. Based on my experience with the other Luminar products I paid the one time fee as soon as I loaded the app and am regretting it now. I rotated an image and saved it, the app saved a new copy of the original unrotated image.

We do understand that there is a lot to do to improve the app and we have already forwarded all the customer's feedback to our tech team to make the app better. Please, accept our apologies for the inconvenience.

Potential

The user interface is horrible. There is no menu. There’s no back. There’s just very basic buttons. But there should be menu something?

Response from developer

Hi Paul, Sorry to hear that the UI was not intuitive enough. Currently, we offer only one menu: it includes all the editing tools and can be accessed by swiping up. I shared your comments with a relevant team.

Not a bad start at all

App has a very fluid interface, and the tools are intuitive and effective. I hope to see more options added (sharpening for sure).

Thank you for sharing your positive feedback with us!

Great mobile editing tools

Wonderful edition to the Skylum product line! Easy to use photo editing right on your mobile device.

Response from developer

Thank you for your kind words and feedback!

Good Start

As is I think it needs a few more features to be worth the price. But, what it does have it does very well.

Response from developer

Appreciate your review. Definitely, there is always some space to grow. I made sure our development team is aware of your comment.

New AI app on iPhone

I just installed on my phone and having fun! Nice set of tools for enhancing and fixing photos. Easy to use and good start. I like Luminar Neo, in general, and IMGI tool kit will be handy in the field. Good stuff, Skylum!

Response from developer

Great! Happy to hear you enjoy it. Thank you for the review!
