No more updates?
I’ve used this app to learn quite a lot of Chinese words, however it seems there have not been any new content updates in a really long time. Probably won’t resubscribe
Best comprehensible input app I’ve found
I’ve looked at several apps/websites to help me with comprehensible input for Chinese, but either they are behind a paywall, too cumbersome to use, not interesting, or not geared towards complete beginners like me. Whereas with Immersi I get short snippets of content which I understand 90% of (as it is very targeted towards my exact level) and its built in translation feature is super helpful.
I think this app is great and I would recommend it to anyone struggling to find beginner level comprehensible input!!

This app is great!
This app is fantastic. It helps you learn Chinese (Mandarin) by doing what we all love to do, which is scroll through videos on our phones. It’s perfect if you are looking to transition to using more comprehensible input in your language learning. The videos are mostly drawn from content creators on YouTube and so you can hear spoken Mandarin from Taiwan people, mainland people, northern people, southern people and so on. They have like hundreds or thousands of videos on all sorts of topics. You can choose no subtitles, just hanzi, hanzi and pinyin, or hanzi, pinyin and English subtitles. It assesses your level, and keeps track of the words you’ve learned. One cool feature is that if you’re learning a word, it can find clips of videos where you can hear people use that word in different contexts. This is a really useful app and very enjoyable to use.

Great app
This app helps to increase vocabulary and improve listening skills. I hope it will be possible to rewind 10 or 15 seconds. This would be useful especially for long videos.
Less time spent looking for content = more time spent consuming content
Absolutely love your guys’ app. Everything is done right - lets you input your known vocab, automatically finds comprehensible input, creates transcripts, has pop-up dictionary with built-in Pleco integration, and more. With proper marketing and support, this app has the potential to be one of the best Chinese learning resources out there. It minimizes the time needed to find suitable content, and maximizes the time spent actually consuming and learning from that content.
There’s a couple improvements that could be made, like more speed options, better YouTube integration (eg, links to source videos, ways to turn off embedded subtitles, etc.), and other QOL improvement. Nonetheless, the app in its current state is incredible.
That said, looks like there haven’t been any updates for a while. Is this still a work in progress? Are there plans for more support for this app? I’m subscribed, so I’d hope that there are future plans for this gem of a resource.
