Update !

Please update to iOS 11! :) love the app

Please update!

I can’t get the app to open with the latest iOS update

Super useful

It's simple and straightforward. I hope they can add other functions but it's very good for practices for the time being.

It is an app

When I tapped the "get" button in the Apple Application Store, I expected the application to download onto my phone. My expectations were met.

Fantastic improv tool!

This thing is great when you're practicing with your team and you need a suggestion but have no coach or audience to give you one. I also use it by myself to work on musical improv or to come up with characters. The UI could be a bit better, but hey, it's awesome nonetheless. Thank you for making it!

Great little widget for improv

This is a great little app for improvisers.

It certainly has some minor limitations, but if you're an improviser you should just roll with it.

I would love to see the devs add a setting for the user to see and edit the word lists, but this is just great little tool as is.

Not good

Not good if you are trying to practice improv

Great App

Does exactly what it says!

Free, reliable, and simple. It has a timer (you can adjust the length before it moves on the the next word) as well as categories you can choose from.

Word Up (updated review)

Simple yet effective. The simple black background & white text make for an efficient interface. I use this during improv practice and to prompt myself in solo improv exercises. It's straight forward in what it does. Tap the screen or shake your handset and you get a new suggestion. Tap the "i" button at the bottom and you can now select specific categories.

All in all, a worthy addition to any improviser's collection of improv apps.

Not much of an improv app!

All this does is generate random words. I can hardly imagine what this is useful for. In improv we're usually looking for something more specific: relationship, location, profession... I can only see this using this app maybe for one or two shortform games (ie: improv fill in the blank), and even that's a stretch if you have more than 2 people in the room (2 on stage, one shouting out random words when cued). Waste of a buck.

Great start!

Yes this app often. Would love if it offered categories. Like: relationships, locations, styles, emotions, etc. Looking forward to future updates.
