Where has this been??
My nephew, who is nonverbal, had previously been using a few different AAC apps and devices to communicate with us, which I already thought was great because he was kind of able to tell us what he wanted. But even so, there were so many limitations and restrictions that I didn’t notice when he first started using them. The biggest one being that we couldn’t hear what he was selecting unless he was within 3 feet of someone. Goodness knows how many of his little requests went unnoticed and he probably wasn’t understanding why :(
But now with this app, he just texts his requests over and I can immediately see what he wants no matter where I am! I love getting notifications of his snack requests and being able to show up to my sister’s house like the Koolaid Man with exactly what he wants 😂 And seeing his excitement never gets old!
For the first time since he lost his ability to speak, I feel like we’re finally connecting again. And that means more to me than I can put into words…

Thank you for this incredibly heartfelt review. Your story about finally being able to receive your nephew's requests no matter where you are truly touched us. We especially loved the image of you showing up with his favorite snacks after receiving his messages! And bursting through the wall in the shape of a koolaid was quite an image, LOL! Creating meaningful connections between children and their loved ones is exactly what we hoped to accomplish, and we're honored to be a small part of your family's journey.
