About
Walk slowly. Meet parks.
In the Name of the Park turns a walk in the city into a quiet collecting ritual. When you come within 500 metres of a park you haven't visited, the app gives you a gentle nudge — no streaks, no pressure, just a tap on the shoulder when something beautiful is nearby.
Step into the park, tap once, and a soft pixel-art card is yours: the park's name in three languages, a short two-voice poem (the place's own language, beside yours), and a tiny scene drawn by hand. Over weeks and months you fill a personal catalogue of the parks you've walked through.
• 100+ Helsinki parks, each with its own hand-drawn pixel card and poem
• A gentle 500 m proximity nudge — fired by your device, never by us
• A growing Dex: collected parks in colour, the rest in shadow
• Share a card like a postcard, or send a park as an iMessage sticker
• Everything syncs privately through your own iCloud — no account, no login
What it isn't: no streaks to punish you, no feed, no follower counts, no likes, no ads, and nothing sold. It's built to make you walk a little more — not stare at your phone a little more.
Helsinki today. More cities soon.
Privacy: your location is used only on your device to find nearby parks, and your collection lives in your private iCloud. We can't see it.
