Bugs and Unneeded added inputs

The app itself is buggy from here and there it crashes quite often. It will usually crash right in the middle of filling it out often leading to needing to redo the whole nav log again. Other things include the alignment of the information boxes aren’t aligned properly and its hard to type into the informational boxes while using the iPad keyboard since the keyboard takes up half the page. If you split screen iNavLogs it will not show half the checkpoint input sections also hides the save button and the add and edit waypoints buttons.

Regarding the unneeded inputs. Putting in the inputs as a field we need to delete before typing is fairly annoying as you have to tap it then delete it and then type your information in it would be 10 times better if it was left blank just like the real VFR nav log. If this is something to help ERAU students learn the VFR nav log I’d say make it look like the Nav Log.

Other feedbacks - Make a website version of it so students can review with their instructors and the flight sups allow the addition to share the flight plan to their instructors.

Thanks all for now

Nothing different than a paper NavLog

This is quite literally the exact same as filling out a paper NavLog. There is no added functionality, features, ease of use, or calculation other than the totals. If anything, more work is needed to simply take your paper NavLog and input the data into this app.

This is only at first glance after I have only used it for a little bit, I will write a more in depth review after using it for a bit. As for now though, I highly doubt this will be something I use regularly if at all.

Response from developer

Hello, We are deeply sorry that you have had a bad experience with iNavLogs. iNavLogs was specifically created, in tandem with a 141 flight school's administration, to build the same skills that paper navigation logs do but in a digital setting. Due to being used in a 141 flight school environment, more of the advanced features that we have in development need to be approved and added to the curriculum before they can be implemented into the application which takes some time. We hope that you now better understand the design considerations for the application, however, if you are unhappy with the product we would be happy to issue a full refund if you contact the support email. Regards, The iNavLogs Team
