Ok....Not Sure On How To Use Power Ups

I am unable to use any power ups....not sure on how to activate them or I haven't gotten far enough to see them on the blocks....ummm idk....game is addictive but I'm getting frustrated not having instructions on how to use the power ups....only mentions them in rules of the game

Ok so, this game would totally get a 5 star rate but I have to give it 3 because I played it a couple times and exited out and now it won't work. I've tried re- downloading it and my screen just goes purple. Ik it's not my phone because my phone hasn't been acting up and another comment was made about that. Pls fix.
