This app seems like a good replacement for the official Reddit app. I don’t like how you have to pay for a subscription just to be able to login into your Reddit account. Please allow this for free.
Great potential, but needs polish and iOS-level refinement
I’m currently using the app on the free trial and overall I really like the direction it’s going in. It feels modern and clean, but there are a few areas where it could be taken to the next level—especially in terms of iOS consistency and polish.
What I’d love to see improved:
• A “Liquid Glass” style search bar in the navigation area like other modern apps—it would make searching feel much more natural and accessible.
• Navigation bar customisation would be a big win. Being able to add/remove tabs, plus adding haptic feedback when tapping icons, would improve the overall experience. Also, tapping a tab (like Home or Inbox) should take you back to the top or main page of that section.
• More consistent use of the Liquid Glass design across menus to keep the UI cohesive.
• Some UI issues need fixing—certain menus (like the account menu from the homepage) flicker or have odd animations when opening.
• Numbered lists in comments are broken. After typing “1.” it doesn’t increment automatically on the next line.
• Option to use the native iOS video player when viewing videos (including Reddit uploads and RedGifs) would make playback smoother and more familiar.
• An option to disable gesture controls for comments. Using standard iOS navigation (like swipe back) would make it feel more intuitive.
• Upvote/downvote gestures require too much movement—shorter swipe distance would make interactions quicker.
• Haptic feedback on upvotes/downvotes (posts and comments) would add a lot to the responsiveness of the app.
• Long comments don’t scale well—automatic resizing would help avoid awkward horizontal or vertical scrolling.
• Pull-to-refresh on the inbox should be standard instead of having to go through the menu each time.
Overall, the app is already solid and enjoyable to use, but these changes would really elevate it and make it feel properly “native” on iOS.
