Great product
Lots of free features - except that it doesn’t support mkv on free version which is fair enough
Disappointed
Can’t believe a simple video player is not completely free, what a greedy developer.
awful support awful playback
this is literal vibe coding garbage do not purchase pro
Very bad experience
Cannot play without paying to upgrade to pro
Perfect! One suggestion…
Please add a VR mode (SBS). That’d be dope!
beatiful
really love the design and artworks it chooses when using just local files, but hate how library unsyncs anytime when app on any of devices is not updated to very latest version
scammer!!
i don't write a review for an app often, but this player are suppose to be free. I'm playing a movie with my own movie file, but they still want money from you. you don't even deserve one star. i will give you -10 if i can.
Response from developer
Many videos types can be played in the free version, but due to licensing requirements some video types will require Pro.
Great app for embry and others!
Worth getting the pro version
Not built for local home video libraries. Favoriting broken, metadata constantly wrong.
Metadata Fetching has no per-folder exclusion. It’s a single global on/off switch. With it on, Infuse tries to match every home video folder against TMDB and slaps on wrong movie/show artwork. There’s no way to say "match my real movies, leave my home videos alone." You either get false matches everywhere or no artwork anywhere. Manual metadata fixes don’t stick. I went through folder by folder setting metadata to “None,” and as long as Fetching is on, it just gets overwritten again on the next scan. There’s no way to permanently exclude a folder from re-matching. Favoriting is broken for local content with zero explanation. “Add to Favorites” and “Enable Passcode Lock” are both grayed out on every local Files-app folder, whether at the root or inside a folder. Turns out these only work on network shares like SMB, NAS, or cloud, but nothing in the app tells you that. If your videos are stored locally, you can’t favorite or organize them at all.
Local artwork (folder.jpg) is inconsistent. Even with Prefer Local Artwork on and a correctly placed and named file, it didn’t reliably pick it up. If you have a real Movies/TV library on a NAS or cloud drive, this app is probably great. If you’re trying to organize a large local library of home videos, be ready to hit walls with almost no in-app explanation of why.

Easily the best player there is
Not only on the Apple platforms, but on every platform
No way to add new shares or edit existing ones
I’ve just spent the last 20mins clicking every button in the macOS app I can find and there is no way to edit or add new shares. No way to even view current settings (IP address, port, server type???). I’m not new to computers - my job is literally in computer science. If this setting exists somewhere and I’m just not finding it, it’s a terrible UI design. Can’t believe I paid anything for this…

Would be worth if it actually supported the supported filetypes.
I was so excited to see something that integrated Plex and Jellyfin. However, I don't understand why it says that MP3 and FLAC files are supported when it can't actually play them from Jellyfin. Even when turning on library mode for the share, in the settings it can clearly see my "Music" library, but when selecting the library from the home screen, there's nothing there. Some digging online tells me that it's not possible to access audio files from Jellyfin via Infuse. I would be happy to pay for the app if it actually did what it advertised. I wish it were clearer about its limitations.

Well designed, but frequently has issues with Jellyfin
Despite being an app recommended by Jellyfin, it often has critical issues that cause it to not connect properly to Jellyfin. It also does not support the authelia authentication or quick connect log in methods so when one of these critical issues arise, it often becomes useless
Best I’ve Seen
I keep my movies on a NAS. The setup for Infuse is simple and straight forward.
My favorite feature is that it keeps all my devices in sync. I can watch on my Mac, immediately pick up on my iPhone, and continue on any AppleTV in the house.
Protip: if you’re having sync issues between devices, make sure all their versions match.
I wish I could edit the granular details of the metadata within the app, but I’m content without that.

File folder
This software has ruined my typesetting. There are many kinds of folders in my video folder!! When I added the folder, all my videos came out instead of displaying the folder. This is very bad. It means that I have to reclassify the videos into separate folders. It's very uncomfortable! It won't be like this like Vidhub. After I add it, it can display the folder normally! Instead of showing all the videos! I hope you can optimize this. I don't want to classify it and I don't want to find what I want to watch in a bunch of movies.

I love it
I ran my own webdav VPS server with only $3/m and now I have latest update cloud database of new Movies and Tv-series. Easy setup and simple to use the app with quick install and safe connection between the app and my server. Thanks to Infuse
Recent bugs and performance issues
This has traditionally been an excellent app, but of late there have been stupid issues creeping in that make it impossible to give it a 5 star review any more. Chief among them are the performance issues - I run it on an M2 Mac Air, everything else runs very well but when I maximise / start playback it frequently stutters and the playback window takes a while to reach it’s proper size / location. More frustratingly when you pause / resume playback, particularly using the space bar (which has always worked flawlessly) it stops and immediately starts again - as if the action wasn’t registered? Playback wise everything else if perfect - I also run it on my phone, tablet and Apple TV - but the Mac version needs improvement / some TLC to rein its 5 star rating.

Keeps begging for money
App was great for a few days, then it started begging for money and for me to upgrade to a monetary tier. The app blocks me from continuing without upgrading.
Won’t play 4k
Says in the description in ‘the basics’ that it plays 4k Dolby vision. When I try to play a 4k file it wants me to pay premium subscription. What am I missing?
DOWNLOAD ERROR
When trying to download the movies it repeatedly gives me the same error saying “Download Error Retry” Please help.
