Love the app - but family sharing is not working for Lifetime
Great way of connecting to Jellyfin, easy user interface for the whole family to use. Having a single app on phones and AppleTV is great for family-apportion. However Family Sharing is NOT working with my lifetime purchase - which kinda makes the whole experiment pointless.
Doesn’t Work
Repeatedly tell it to synch with my iCloud and it does not. Nor does it see my apple library. VLC is a much better product. Thank goodness I didn’t purchase it! Not worth it.
Works very well
I use it to access my network storage library, works very well n stable. Hope someday it will support pictures n music files
World Class Media App
Infuse has been my favorite streaming app for years now and they just fixed the one thing which had given me a bit of consternation (a SMB share being faster at home via direct IP vs reachable away from home via Tailscale) by letting you specify multiple endpoints for the same share. This has saved me a ton of work and I decided it’s time to pull the trigger for lifetime license after that. Thanks Infuse team!

Got used to it; it’s great.
Took me a while to get the design intent behind some of the functions, but now that I understand, it’s GREAT. It is very flexible, which is what makes it confusing to me at first: Frankly I disagree with almost EVERY default, but you might love it untouched or make a few tweaks. That superpower is the Kryptonite here. So get a short duration license and give yourself a few days to figure it out and see who YOU want it to be. Then you’ll understand the value here. It’s really great.

Clunky
This could be so much nut it’s clunky and the meta date sucks! If AppleTV worked correctly I would never use Infuse again.
It does what it promises but nothing more
Works fine most of the time, synchronisation and indexing is rather slow compared to similar apps, ans trakt integration doesn’t always work. But the important bits (video playing) are reliable and as described.
Gets stuck in a loop
Fetches content for each library in a loop, butthe dashboard never updates and it just keeps re-syncing the same libraries over and over indefinitely. I got Pro hoping that would fix it, it did not. Looks like it could potentially be good.

I love infuse but what I don’t like is how after a long time you have to re-download the movie you’re trying to watch. But overall I really like infuse
extremely glitchy playback on streaming
pausing instantly starts again and requires five pauses to actually pause. the ui is kind of ugly and just feels like a catalyst app. it’s annoying af but does have the best image quality.

Amazing app! Please keep improving video quality with better HDR processing, AI upscaling, advanced picture controls, and even smoother playback for high bitrate 4K movies.

Great app that keeps getting better
I already thought the app was fantastic (solved my audio sync issues on Apple TV/HomePod with Plex), and now they’ve added transcoding. Just keeps getting better.
Forced to use AI features?
The video-playing is pretty okay on this app. For some reason, it has AI upscaling automatically enabled, but you can turn it off easily. However, something you can’t turn off is the automatically assigned descriptions and thumbnails. For some reason, the developers of this app have seemingly forced AI-generated descriptions and thumbnails for any local file video. For example, I have a video named Razor downloaded, but instead of taking a screenshot from the actual file, it seemingly AI-generated an image for the thumbnail??? I also have a series of videos called untitled1, untitled2, and untitled3, and Infuse renamed them to Untitled#1, Untitled Michael Sequel, and Untitled Beetlejuice 3. Huh???? These are completely unrelated elements to the original video, and I believe the descriptions are AI generated too. I tried messing around with metadata settings in the map to no avail — Beetlejuice and Michael are still here. It is possible to reset the metadata for each individual video, but I’m not doing all that. It’s also VERY laggy to scroll through videos.

I paid around $50 once for infuse.
Then they remove the app and swap it for a different version with subscriptions and a different new “lifetime” IAP. They will do it again I am sure. Do not trust them.

Infuse found my Emby and Jellyfin databases (servers) and accessed them without the use of any user id and password.

Genial
Eine geniale App, die so simpel aufgebaut ist, aber genau das abdeckt was man braucht und eben einfach funktioniert. Man erkennt, dass die App regelmäßig gepflegt wird, zum Beispiel an dem zügig eingeführtem Liquid-Glass-Design. Es wirkt wie ein Premium-Apple-Produkt.
Preise sind fair und die Einmalzahlung finde ich super, weil ich Abos nicht leiden kann.
Ich liebe es, einfach über die Cloud große 4K-HDR-Videodateien in allen erdenklichen Video- und Audioformaten streamen zu können und zwar super schnell ohne Lagging, was ich zunächst befürchtet hatte. Ich habe keine Lust, selbst ein NAS zu betreiben, da ist Infuse einfach genial mit dem Cloudstreaming.
Es wird auch automatisch der Titel erkannt und sogar ein Titelbild herausgesucht, man muss nichts selber einstellen. Alles sehr bequem!
