I’ve been with this game since the beginning and made some of my best mates. We still get together and play downtown when we’re all free. 10 out of 10 would recommend
Worst managed game
This is sad that I am being forced to give this game a 1 star. Two years ago I would have given a 5 star and praised it. I even through about becoming a Paid member for the perks. Unfortunately, I upset a player whom has spent the last two years doing everything he can to make the game not enjoyable by targeting my every activity in the game to the point where it’s pointless to even bother playing. I will spend my time playing the game and by the rules of the game and they player cheats and constantly targets me. Why you asked, because he wanted to play both sides of the game, with Multiple Accounts, when he felt like it. Just not allowed to.
In the game, the main goal is capture portals, collect Keys, create links to create fields. Big version of Risk. This player will also use these spare accounts to throw links in the same color as me to block my links to stop me from playing the game
Years ago, if you took a plane somewhere your account got banned for traveling to fast and tagged as Spoofing. Your account wiped and you had to start over with no chance of defending yourself.
Today, you just need a cell phone and a laptop to alter your location and you can travel the world without even leaving your mother’s basement and Niantic will not lift a finger to stop you.
Look at player EchoFeenix. This 75+ year old man that walks with a cane, has his main account that he alters his location to defeat players with better mobility than himself. And if the location isn’t worth the risk of getting caught, he uses one of his 8 or more Accounts that he created, got to L7 and sits on for months. Then when he needs to attack hard to reach locations, he uses these spare accounts.
So you say, just report the activity to Niantic. Well the individuals who manages the game could care less the effect this makes on the game and the players whom play it.
Don’t waste your time getting into this game. At the current way it is managed, I predict it will be gone in the near future due to players leaving from lack of enforcement of the very rules listed on Niantic website. After playing for 12+ years it is a shame to see such a great game become so mismanaged.

It’s not just a game
It’s friendly competitive way to get out and have clandestine experiences and possibly meet people. It’s as close to being like a movie spy as you can get.

Niantic sells a badge for 30,800 cmu! Who in hell would spend money for practically nothing. Niantic is clueless on what players want. What a pity!
Really terrible update cycle
pretty much guaranteed when you drive or walk a long way to get a portal and the service is terrible, the app will force you to re login and do an app update so your time and effort to get to a portal is a complete waste of time. stupidest app ever.Update: still among the dumbest games ever as you must login again and again if your service is bad. very frustrating to play if not on wifi.

Speed bug annoying
Seems to have improved but there’s a glaring bug where the controls lock when you’re in a vehicle going at high speed. If they fix it, this review goes to five stars.
Machina
I would like to see machina be able to attack, field, and spread like a real virus. That would force people to not ignore it.
Poor management
The game is great when rules are enforced. Since the sale of Niantic assets to Scopely, the current state of ingress is lawless. Portals have been GPS spoofed and Niantic Spacial refuses to reset links.
We have blatant multi accounting with temp bans put in place (if your report is successful) and then the culprits return days later with no remorse.
I feel silly for funding what was once, a great concept.

Descente aux enfers
J’ai pu voir ce titre se dégrader après de nombreuses révisions. Une UX qui n’a plus rien à voir avec ses débuts quand il était stable et facile à utiliser.
Désormais c’est illisible.
De plus les équipes sont déséquilibrées, si vraiment vous voulez tenter votre chance alors jouez Bleu (la soit disante résistance), au moins vous n’aurez pas à galérer car ça fait 15 ans que le déséquilibre existe.

A feeding ground for harassment type behavior.
I have playing this game since year three, fun game but there are individuals that act as individuals in a community game allowed to harass other players while they take advantage of the game not even for team advances but personal individual goals. The admins do not answer to these issues allowing social psychopathic individuals to take their anger and frustration out on other players are ignored.

Quand Peridot s’arrêtera, tous les Dots seront perdus. Des centaines de créatures, des souvenirs, des moments partagés… tout va disparaître d’un coup. Pourtant, il serait possible de laisser un mode minimal, juste pour que les joueurs puissent garder leurs Dots, les voir, les consulter, les conserver. On ne demande pas un jeu complet, juste un espace pour ne pas perdre nos compagnons.
La communauté est encore vivante, les gens continuent de poster, d’espérer, de partager leurs nouvelles créatures. Ce serait un geste simple, respectueux, de permettre à chacun de garder ses Dots au lieu de les effacer définitivement.

Laissez Péridot
Peridot n’a jamais été un simple jeu pour moi. C’est un jeu où il y a des sentiments, de l’attachement, des routines, des petites présences qui comptent. Quand j’ai perdu mon chat, c’est le fait de m’occuper de mes Dots, de ma collection, de mes petites créatures rares, qui m’a aidé à traverser la douleur. Ça m’a occupé l’esprit, ça m’a motivé à sortir, ça a rendu le deuil un peu moins lourd.
C’est pour ça que je trouve injuste qu’on arrête tout ça pour un jeu beaucoup plus compliqué et beaucoup plus cher, qui exclut ceux qui n’ont pas les moyens. Peridot a aidé des gens dans des moments difficiles. Il a apporté du réconfort, de la douceur, de la compagnie. Ce lien-là mérite d’être respecté.

No good ending!
The game starts out as a fun computer game that requires sunscreen. But players find it not responsive to their needs and players’ input are ignored.
Best AR game
Have been playing this game for years and have loved every aspect of it. The commitment level is whatever you want it to be, got free time play alot, don’t have a lot of free time don’t have to play much. Want to get out and visit new places then take part in anomalies!
