Buggy app sketchy service
The app seems fine at first but then when actually doing anything you really start to notice all the bugs. Set speed limits and then they change back and you have to try a few times before it actually takes. Stuff not loading right so you have to close and open the app again. Customer service chat freezes and gets stuck on older conversations. If you want an inmotion wheel I’d use third party apps for the settings and stuff and DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! If you want a wheel save yourself so much time and energy and use a better place because my wheel has been broken for months now under warranty and I’ve been fighting them to take care of it.

Unhappy
After using my EUC for over a year, a new app update came out and required giving a lot of personal information. I was uncomfortable with giving all that information to the People’s Republic of China, so now I’m unable to use the app. Would love to have an option to have that control back without giving all that personal information to someone who doesn’t need it.

I updated and now the app won’t join my scooter

Update needed
Sometimes when switching between the two unicycles I own. The V12S a the V8S it shows metrics and data for the wrong device. It takes many refreshing and disconnecting to reestablish the proper data. For instance, my V8S could never have 76 miles of range. I also thought it was interesting that both of my devices were charging at the exact same rate with the exact same percentage. The first time I thought it was just ironic the second and third time I realized that that was the app failing to show the proper charge for each individual device. I would also like to see see just an overall improved app. My biggest fear is that a iOS update in the future will cause a breakage to occur with communication to these devices. Overall, in motion is the best unicycle brand on the market and I highly recommend them and even with the app functionality that is a bit lacking these devices still are incredible and I highly recommend them but please developers update update update this app sometimes low scores could be a deciding factor for a purchase, especially of this caliber.

Can’t update firmware
Just got my new inmotion V14 today! I’ve been so excited all week to finally get it here and try it out. Downloaded the app and it immediately wants to update some firmware v5.9.35 to v5.9.53
When i click update, it stalls at 0%… I’ve tried clearing cache, delete and reinstall app, turn everything off and back on, disconnect/reconnect, etc. nothing i do is allowing this driver firmware update. Not sure what the update is or does or affects, but i can’t do anything. I even broke out an old iphone and installed the app and tried there to no avail. I’m stuck!

Good Functionality, But the Interface Needs Better Organization
I’ve used this app with two devices—the V12S and the V8S—and overall, everything I need is available, but it often takes longer than it should to locate specific options. Improving the organization of the home screen and settings menu would make a significant difference.
For the home screen, it would be helpful to prioritize features riders might need to adjust mid-ride, such as pedal stiffness, maximum speed settings, and tilt controls. These should be easy to access quickly and safely.
The settings menu would benefit from clearer categorization, ideally through expandable sections grouped by function (for example: Speed, Lights, Power). This structure would make navigation more intuitive and reduce unnecessary searching.
Overall, the app works well, but refining the layout would greatly improve the user experience.

App is okay, but it is now an advertisement
The app is needed to lock and unlock your scooter, change certain settings etc. but now every time the app is opened it is an advertisement for one of their other devices.

Everyone I open the app to lock/unlock my scooter they require me to watch an 8 second advertisement 😭
A really terrible app. I’m very disappointed.
I’ve been writing unicycles for four years now and I’m very good. I’d have to say I do delivery on it for work and unfortunately, 72 hours ago my unicycle was stolen. There is no that’s protection under the warranty that I purchased which the sales associate when I called the motion app, which was nice that they can talk to you. I had no idea and said that there wasn’t a warranty at all and I was to watch a video on how to fix things but in terms of theft or replacement they’re not going to credit me at all. but the app itself I’ve tried now for 24 hours to register my unicycle now you don’t really need the unicycle there because you have the serial number and all the information on the app. It’s not syncing up. It keeps telling me that I cannot validate this jargon jargon. What is the point of having a registration if it won’t except a serial number that goes with the purchased product and it’s very vague and very difficult to use and I do not like it at all if you’re gonna spend this much money or make people pay this much money for a toy that people use like me for transportation then you need to upgrade your amenities. Otherwise, it becomes a cheap plastic scooter that is not reliable and very costly to fix. If the app worked, I would have my unicycle back. Thanks for making a bad app. You should really gift me an emotion V1 Y for my troubles. Have a great day. Thanks so much. Keep up the great work or maybe rethink your entire plan together.

Full screen ads
I use this app to lock my scooter. It’s super annoying to have a full screen ad I can’t skip for 6s or any period of time before I can use my device. Boo!

The apps not the problem, you are.
Unsupported
App does not support the V8 (Glide 3) EUC. It simply wont connect to the wheel. There is no way to edit this wheels settings anymore, they’ve apparently abandoned it and no longer provide support. Very disappointing for something that costs almost $1k.
Do not do business with in motion
I can’t use my vehicle because they lock it with the app. Complete waste of money

Easy to use
I’ve seen a lot of videos on YouTube talking about how bad this app is. They must be talking about an older version because this thing is a piece of cake to use and set up.
