Does not open RTF files

I bought this so I could open RTF files that I received on email.
It doesn't work, just get an error message saying unable to open document. Needs to be fixed, meantime it was a waste of money for me.

iNotePad Pro Un-intuitive

App description looked amazing. However, could not figure it out. Very un-intuitive. I worked with this app for an half an hour and finally gave up. Too hard to figure out, not worth the effort.

SOME PROBLEMS INCLUDE:

* Cannot figure out how to import an RTF file from another source, like dropbox. Popup instructions are provided, but can't figure out how to import docs from the "documents archive".
* "Documents Archive" uses huge icons, allowing for only two document thumbnails on screen at once, requiring horizontal scrolling to see other docs. If you have lots of docs, plan on your finger getting tired.
* Document preview on doc archive page has little value and takes up a lot of space on that page.
* Document thumbs are on dark gray background. If you want to rename the doc file name it is very difficult to see the standard iPad blue cursor against the gray background in order to edit file names.
* Cannot perform save to app operations (i.e., save doc in skydrive, or dropbox, etc.) from within the doc when it is open. Rather, you must save doc, the close it, then select the "open in" icon and then select the app you want to move the doc into. Very cumbersome.

Too many more issues to go into.

Bottom Line: With all due respect to the developer, I know and appreciate that huge amounts of time go into app development. Also, this review is strictly my opinion. That being said, it is my opinion is that this app suffers from a poorly designed user interface. iPad apps need to be immediately usable without the user needing lots of documentation (of which there is usually slim to none). This app needs lots of usability analysis and revisions. AND because I was not able to get past the user interface challenges, I don't know if there are functional problems or not.

Description is dishonest

App description says it has Dropbox integration. This is the only reason I bought it. The app doesn't have any sort of Dropbox-related features at all, it was just a lie. I am writing Apple to complain.

Not what it claims to be!

It's very strange that this advertises itself as an RTF editor. It is not that. Instead, it transforms the .rtf file into a .doc file and saves that.

For persons who want to change all of their .rtf files into .doc files I am sure that it must be very wonderful.

I bought it because it said it would permit me to edit .rtf files, and I feel swindled.
