InPlane (International Network for Paediatric Locoregional ANaesthesia and Education) is a landmark global initiative designed to close the educational gap in paediatric regional anaesthesia. Developed by international experts in collaboration with five leading anaesthesia societies, RA-UK, APAGBI, ESPA, CPAS, and SPANZA, the InPlane app is the first unified, open-access mobile platform dedicated to providing point-of-care guidance on paediatric regional anaesthesia to anaesthetist at all levels of experience. Key features of the app: - Evidence- and expert-based guidance in paediatric regional anaesthesia - Educational content on key topics such as consent, safety, local anaesthetic dosing, compartment syndrome, … - A comprehensive nerve block library with a user-friendly search function to identify recommended regional anaesthesia techniques by anatomical region or common paediatric procedures - Step-by-step guidance on performing regional anaesthesia in children: for each block includes anatomy, patient positioning and preparation, ultrasound anatomy, needle technique, and desired spread of local anaesthetic - A growing library of images and instructional videos - Offline functionality Paediatric Plan A blocks are freely accessible to all users. Plan B blocks will be available to members of any of the five collaborating societies. The InPlane app does not collect any personal data. InPlane is provided for educational purposes only.
