A few reasons this situation might happen: 1.Previous trial usage: If this Apple ID has already used a free trial in the past, Apple will automatically charge the full subscription price for any new subscription attempt. 2.Billing timing: Sometimes the trial and subscription start dates can overlap due to Apple’s billing system, which may result in a charge appearing immediately even if a trial is offered.
