Couldn’t identify small beetle
The camera seems to only be able to pick larger insects up. If you’re trying to identify something like a small beetle, you won’t be able to. There’s also no info about the app to review while your in the app.
Must be doing it wrong
I use several ID apps successfully but not this one. Have yet to receive a successful ID. Maybe need to dispatch them and pin them down. Not very impressed.

Makes it seem like you have to purchase it (at $6.49 per*WEEK*). Eventually a little pink “skip” appears at the top right and you can use it to try the free version. I hate it when apps try to trick us like this, it’s disappointing. Also, this app never managed to id an insect for me. Despite my clear & detailed photos it always said it needed a new photo. I think this might have been because it couldn’t identify the insects. Save your time and try another!

Submitted a picture and it did not come back with correct assess. Took pictures and it could not find matching name. Very bad app.

Can’t identify anything it’s like I have to take a professional up close photo of the bug I’d be dead if i tried it with a bug I didn’t know was poisonous I hate you and your crappy app
Not accurate
Took a photo of a Spotted Lanternfly which has become a huge problem in my area. The app identified it as another type of moth common in North and Central America, when it is actually an invasive species from Asia. So it does try to identify bugs, it just doesn’t do it well.
