Very good improvements to app.
I haven’t used the app about 4 months now and I can say each update makes the app better. The list of room types is expanding and the way the UI is layered out is intuitive. I'm able to do house scans in much less time because of it. A lot of the time the issue is the requesting entity chooses the wrong things and makes the scan harder for the person fulfilling three request. I also love the Inside Maps company. They are fair and VERY responsive. 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🎉🎉🎉

App is trash!
Why can’t we use a 360 camera and upload to a computer instead of this lazy app
Recent updates have degraded performance
Recent upgrades have caused multiple issues with app performance
A huge pain
InsideMaps is simply not a well made app. It’s not intuitive, it has regular glitches, their app updates introduce more issues, etc. There are entirely too many steps to start a scan and move on from it. I shouldn’t have to verify that I wipe my lens every single scan, for example. Entirely too much tapping is required for something that should be quick and easy. All the time wasted tapping through everything in InsideMaps adds up. For what it’s worth, I’ve now been using InsideMaps for the past year on the latest and up to date iPhone Pros.

Do yourself a favor. Don’t update to the latest version!
I have been shooting hundreds of InsideMaps tours in the past year. However the latest update was TERRIBLE! It’s so clumsy to use and it feels like the company has not done any real world testing before releasing the APP. Comparing to the old versions, now you have so many more touches you have to do and that dramatically increased your shooting time. Comparing to other virtual tour product like Zillow 3D and MatterPort, InsideMaps is already taking a lot longer to scan a house, now you should expect at least 15% more time. The problem is the company assumes your workflow and ask you to scan a pano and add asset right there. But in reality, it is very cumbersome to get phone out of Hero during the scanning to shoot assets. The Hero holds iPhone very tight and to put it on, you have to squeeze all the buttons of the phone and many things could be triggered so you have to check them off one by one. It is a lot easy to just finish scan and do the asset last. Not the latest version grey out important done buttons until you finish all assets. Also, you really don’t have to choose floor on every scan. The old version is much better and cleaner. Overall, I feel this release is done by peoples who are sitting in the office imagining what processes should be but have no real experience. I highly recommend my clients to look into other product so I don’t have to deal with this piece of junk anymore. I am pretty mad as it wasted so much of my time.
