Accepting the non PC in name, I found the app streets NO motorways ahead of competitors (micro:!!!) connecting to the iPad with little effort and clear and clean instructions even for a grandfather trying to understand the workings of his grand children. His belief in apps is now back on stream. And the micro:!!! In the trash can.

Excellent app, with good support V1 and V2 Microbits
In a world where the only official way to program a MicroBit is via some web portal, this app gives us an iPad programming environment that allows you to control and program the MicroBit off line. I found the environment excellent and generally easy to get to grips with.
Additionally, for me anyway, if you do not have 24/7 access to the web, you can make changes to the code you upload to your MicroBit without needing an internet connection.
As for the naming conventions, this has little to do with encouraging girls into programming. Having dealt with charities that encourage girls between 11 and 14 to take STEM and STEAM seriously, the last thing they worry about it is if something is called Mr or Mrs. Further more, PacMan was very popular with Women, and had little to do with the name and more to do with the psychology of gameplay.
All in all this a very cheap app that helps with programming a rather obstinate piece of hardware, and it's latest version has been updated to deal with the latest V2 Microbit. So all kudos to the developer and at £1.99, I think we can forgive the dev for their naming convention.

In a world in which we are trying to encourage females to enter a male dominated world, we end up with an app called Mr Bit. Seriously people, did you not consider this?
