Won’t export in anything but 30fps
Torn, because I want to love this app, and this 360 camera. However, it’s simple and so frustrating to use. The most frustrating part comes in “post” (post processing/editing). Project called for 24fps video. Got everything filmed and edited how we wanted it. The export settings do not support 24fps playback speed. Project ruined.

Annoying ads & notifications
1) your dumb ads take up the full screen on iPad and there's no way to close them. Your app is unusable on iPad
2) They don’t respect your notifications preference’s and will spam you with ads rather than just upload’s and export’s.

Firmware not updating
Bought a Insta 360 Luna Ultra & comes with 1 mic pro. My friend has the same kit and his mic pro has been updated. Mine stays at V1.0.0.0
New version sucks!!!!!!!
The old version was awesome - intuitive and produced great videos. New version is rubbish - can’t select multiple videos and have them auto edited / complete rubbish - turned a great experience into a very poor one and reduced the usefulness of the camera
Garbage, needs more AI
I don’t want to spend hours editing video. I should be able to ask AI what to focus on and how long I want the video to be and what audio to use and AI should generate a video. This app can not do that.

Not User Friendly
I am not a tech person. Born in the 1960’s. I gave my money for a camera to use and record memories. I like the camera but this app has complicated an easy use camera and made it difficult to access my videos and pics. I find it easier to just use the SD card in a card reader rather than the app. Not happy.

App constantly disconnects from camera and phone and constantly crashes . Infuriating
AI bs
I can’t say how much I hate this eeefering app. I have tried, and tried, and tried to get the point of the AI editing to work. I have now spent way, way, way more time editing the AI result., Only to have it cancel when I need it to save. Isn’t the point of the AI to save time? I have now spent more than 20 minutes (for an extremely simple video! ) trying to get a nice clean edit (that I choose after editing from their edits ) out of something using their stupid AI edit. Only to be 100% embarrassed by the result, and can’t post it. I will give you that the hardware is amazing, but forcing Temu type style advertising everywhere as well as forcing X5 water marking everywhere without digging into multiple different menus, is just minus a zillion stars from me.

Why do I need this?
Why can’t I just turn on the camera and use it out of the box? Did Insta360 ship a non working model that needs a firmware update before it can record pictures or videos? Well, kind of. You literally cannot use the camera until you download this 1.6gb app. Even DJI doesn’t require this (though they certainly encourage it).
Yes, I get that the app provides these additional features and downloads firmware, but, if I want to shoot video out of the box, you can’t do it because Insta360 crippled their device - on purpose.

Lot of bug
I take a screenshot in the app and this is not what I took in my album. And crash sometimes.
Persistent notification badge bug
There's a bug where the app icon constantly shows "1" unread notification, even though there's nothing new to see. I've checked every section of the app and can't find anything to clear it. This has been happening consistently — please look into it and fix it. Otherwise the app works well, but this glitch is annoying since it makes it look like I'm missing something.

File transfer is subpar
There is no apparent way to export .insv files to be stored externally, and no easy way to upload already-downloaded .insv files to the cloud. Very basic functionality that should exist!!!!!!
Poorly designed.
Quite excited to use my New insta360 camera but what a horrible app. Clunky, way too busy. Constant adverts/popups. Seems like there has been very little thought gone into the app. First impressions are not good despite not being able to use the camera yet. Bought the starter bundle which doesn’t even come with an SD card so can’t start to use the camera untill you go out and buy accessories. Very poor start to the experiences

Software getting worse
“WHEN DIRECTION LOCK IS OFF” can’t zoom in out using latest iOS 26 version.
Because of this I have to use it with iOS 17 on iPhone! Now in trouble with other apps cause I can’t update iPhone iOS because it is vital for my use.
Until I see ZOOM returned when direction lock is OFF which I test with my updated iPad.
Also still don’t like new version of software too much useless gimmicks, Ai ridiculous, too much confusion.

バージョンアップで機能ダウン
Flow2Proで使用してます。2.27.1のバージョンにアップしたら、今までの設定が全部リセットされた。以前から左右追尾で被写体を見失うと左右に振れ幅が１度２度４度８度16度32度と行った感じで左右にブンブン首を振る現象があったが、バージョンアップ前と比べて、追尾性能が格段に下がり、正面2mの被写体が左右にゆらゆら揺れるだけで前述の挙動にすぐなってしまい、全く使えないものになってしまった。
プロフレーミンググリッドでテンキー8の位置を設定しても、だんだん7や9になってしまいフレームアウトしてしまう、これもバージョンアップしてこうなってしまい使い物にならない。
あとプロフレーミンググリッドは以前からダメな仕様として、縦でテンキー8に合わしたあと、右ダブルクリックでスマホを横にした時、縦の位置の8のままなので、横だと4の位置となり、上ではなく左を指定してしまう。全く使えない。「現在の画面の向きでどこに合わせている」という仕様にして欲しい

Can’t Remove Watermark
Not sure why I’d pay 100’s of dollars for a camera whose app doesn’t allow you to remove the watermark anymore. Ridiculous.
Cluttered & Overloaded
I like the gear but this app is mess. It’s like it can’t decide what kind of app it wants to be. Is it an editing app?, a social media page? a camera companion?, gear control? It tries to be all this (and more) without doing any of them very well.
The Home Screen is confusing. It’s basically 100 ads for some of the random things the app contains. With no rhyme or reason. Where some things should be in other tabs. It’s clunky and disorienting. One of the most confusing apps I’ve seen.
The opening tab is some sort of social media page (ie tiktok, for some reason) but it’s cluttered with random buttons of hashtags, posts from random people, and several unnecessary options randomly scattered around. Including some options that should be on an “settings” tab.
It’s like they couldn’t decide what to put on the Home Screen so everyone at the office got their ideas in. And no one said “no. That’s too much.”
The editing page is the same thing. There are so many better options to edit videos then whatever this is.
Overall, it’s just doing WAY too much and there’s no real benefit to using it. There is basically no way I would ever want to use this app for any reason.
