App is OK, but not worth renting it for $20 a year. Price/value is not there at this price point.

The latest version (1.7.2) now supports email and Apple sign in too. Please give it a try.
Interesting idea but google sign in needed
I’m always up for an interesting new take on notes. Unfortunately I didn’t get far as a google sign in is required. If a different account mechanism or no account is made available I’d be up for giving it a serious look.
