Perfect alternative for Air Drop. Works very well as expected.
Very poor instructions
It is very hard to figure out how to use the app and your instructions are very poor. You click on the photos to send them and where do you go from there to text them? It’s not intuitive at all.

DeskConnect died, long live Instashare!
For those of you who are not familiar with the fact that AirDrop is sometime a hit and miss affair (and trust someone who has tried many ways to get it running faster and easier) I am delighted that there is someone like Lukas, who understands the fact that we (Apple users/fans) want an easy life and a fast workflow.
I was a long term user of DeskConnect and this app ran flawlessly on all my devices including my MacBook Pro.
However, this App has been somewhat crippled lately and last week it died altogether on some of my iPads and today even my iPhone is telling me there is an error with the App.
I searched for a worthy alternative and found Instashare!
And boy do I like it!!!
It connects in seconds once you set it up and give it the rudimentary "Allow" this and that, and a transfer of a photo is as easy as selecting it, and dragging it to the icon of the device you want to send it TO. I installed it immediately on all my devices AND my Mac and so far I can't find a fault!
And wait for this:
today I tried and tried again to send multiple images and documents to my iPad from my MacBook Pro .... using AirDrop. And every time I wanted to transfer multiple images (5-10!!) AirDrop told me it “failed”!!!
Well Apple - that is a big FAIL in my book in 2019❗️
So, as far as I can tell, Instashare is much faster than waiting for the AirDrop thingy to load and transfer anything.
I'm very happy with this App and don't even feel it was expensive, as the convenience it will hopefully give me over time will undoubtedly save me a lot of nerves!

Really slow hardly connects with WiFi then disappears even with the paid version the only way I could get it connect is to pair my other device like iPad to phone with personal hotspot with data not WiFi then it connected grrrrrrrr
Really poor experience on iOS + Win 10
I used to love the Instashare’s iOS app + the MacOs experience, but those days are gone as long as I’m not a Mac owner anymore... On the other hand, I’ve been having a really poor experience on Win 10 + Instashare on iOS 11! This is a no go, I’m not quite sure where the issue lies, if it’s on Windows 10 or if it’s on iOS 11, but having paid for both apps ant not to be able to transfer files is ridiculous! I’m connected on the same WiFi as expected.

Not working with MacBook
It works wonderfully with iPad. It dies not even connect with MacBook or it says “can’t assign requested address”

Instead, the developer has updated the "free" version of the app instead, which has an in-app purchase for getting rid of the ads.
This is ridiculous, early paid supporters get left out in the rain of a major 2017 revamp of the app, and are stuck with either staying with the old-2016 version or dealing with the ads of the "free" 2017 version.
Suggestion: either update the Ad-Free version of the app with the same respective purchases, or enter the Ad-Free Paid users into the in-app purchases section of the "free Air Drop" version
