Intact: Photo Backup to PC

Intact copies the photos and videos on your iPhone into a folder on your own computer, or straight onto an external drive. Nothing is installed on the computer. Nothing is uploaded to any server. There is no account. You open one page in Chrome or Edge, type the name and 4-digit code your iPhone is showing, pick a folder, and the files start moving across your own Wi-Fi. WHY THIS ONE • Interrupted backups pick up where they stopped. Every file that already arrived is skipped next time, so you never start over. • Every file is hashed on the phone and again on the computer, and the two are compared. You get a report with a line per file, not a spinner and a promise. • A file only gets its final name once it is complete and verified. A half-written photo never appears in your folder. HOW YOUR FILES ARE ORGANISED Plain year and month folders — 2026/2026-08/ — holding ordinary files under their original names. Live Photos keep their paired video next to the still. No database, no proprietary format, nothing needed to read them later. Move the drive to another computer and it is all still just files. No cable, no companion app, no sign-in. PLEASE KEEP INTACT ON SCREEN WHILE IT RUNS iOS gives an app about 30 seconds after it leaves the foreground, and there is no background mode that covers what Intact does. Switching apps or locking the phone pauses the transfer. Because it resumes without re-sending anything, picking it back up costs you nothing — but it will not finish in your pocket. PRIVACY Your photos go from your phone to your computer and nowhere else. Intact has no server, no analytics, and no account system. There is nothing on our side to see them with: the app on your phone and the page in your browser talk to each other directly over your own network.
