Tried and no go

App doesn’t use the power of the internet. It’s a calculator only. Put in a stock symbol and it should populate with data such as number of shares, earnings, depreciation etc. You have to manually gather the info. I immediately cancelled the trial.

Rob, our intrinsic value calculators are intended for people who want to learn about value investing. People who are serious about investing and want to learn how to read and understand annual reports of the companies they want to invest into. If you are so busy to learn about company's financials before investing your hard earned money, you can find precalculated intrinsic values on internet provided by biased analists who want to lure clueless investors to buy stocks they cover disregarding any fundamentals or market overvaluation. Also our calculators are intended for all Countries/Locations/Currencies. Annual reports in different countries do have a different formats and require manual processing.

I already bought it once

I have never had a prob with the app but I already paid for it once. I won’t be paying for a subscription to something that I have already bought the right to use. This is very disappointing and in my opinion the previous purchase should be refunded since so can no longer use what I purchased.

Lilshorty2007, when we migrated our app to subscription based payments, we introduced simple logic to check receipt for the original purchase date. All users who purchased our app before migration should be able to continue using our app without purchasing subscription. Unfortunately AppStore doesn’t keep original purchase date when user uninstall and reinstall app, or when user changes phone and reinstall app. This is a known AppStore issue with receipt validation. All we can do now is to apologize on behalf of AppStore for this AppStore deficiency and offer you a full refund for original purchase. Please follow these steps to request a refund: 1. Sign in to reportaproblem.apple.com. 2. Tap or click "I'd like to," then choose "Request a refund." 3. Choose the reason why you want a refund, then choose Next. 4. Choose the app, subscription, or other item, then choose Submit.

Keyboard in the way

Just bought this app, and about half way into inputting information, the keyboard got in the way, and I can’t see anything. There is no way to use the app if the keyboard is in the way!!! Update: After communicating with the company, they suggested that I use Display Zoom at my Iphone at Standard level, instead of Larger Text. My Iphone is set to Larger Text since day 1, and after using more than 100 apps this is the first time where I have to change the Zoom Setting from Larger Text to Standard in order to be able to use the app. I increased the rating from 1 star to 3 stars due to the developer trying to help, yet acknowledging that their app currently can’t work in the Larger Text zoom setting. Once they have an update which fixes the issue I will be able to increase the rating from 3 to 4,5 stars. At the moment even 3 stars is too much as I have to change zoom setting in order to use the app.

As per our email communication, you can use the larger Font size, if you like, but you do need to use the "Standard" zoom mode, since it's working for you, in order to fit all required edit fields on the screen. We hope our Intrinsic Value Calculator will help you to make right investment decisions. We would appreciate, if you update the feedback since we did find the configuration setting that allows you to use our application.

Very good calculator that allows me to real state of things and company values.

Blacked Out where you fill in the Information

Just bought it and cannot use it. Need to clear up the spaces where you put the information. Unable to read what is being typed in those spots. Other than that the video makes it look good. Please fix it.

hi whuhn66, in order to clear information you need to click "Clear" button on the top right corner. As for typing visibility issues, you can easily fix it by following these steps: Go to settings -> Display & Brightness and select Light mode. The font is not visible in a Dark mode. Great app for learning about value investing and making investment decisions

I purchased the app recently and the app has been helpful in researching intrinsic value and finding value especially in this market. I am just learning but the app support team has been responsive and taken time to give me feedback. I think it is well worth the price and if you are looking to find value in the market I highly recommend this app.

Update

I updated my rating from 3 to 4 stars due to how pleased I was with the customer service. They got right back with me and helped work thru my issue. Still wasn’t sure about the intrinsic value that was calculated but I’ll keep trying it. They should do a YouTube video tutorial.

Can’t Read your Own Entry

What a genius app. Excited to use it but both the text and background of the text box are in black. This makes it impossible to read the entry. I’ll update my star rate once I can use it.

It does not let you see any number

This app is a great tool. I had a issue with seeing the numbers but the team actually respond in a timely manner and help me resolve the issue and it works great now. I recommend the app and the team behind it.

Cannot move or navigate

I just bought this thinking it would be easy to move or navigate. It has taken me 100 attempts and I still cannot calculate anything. Cheap and worthless.

Simple to use

I'm new to value investing, but instructions provided in about screen and help buttons make it easy to locate all necessary information on annual reports of the companies I'm considering to buy. My emails with questions were promptly answered by support team.

Must have in your financial toolkit

I am so happy I downloaded this app. This is the first time I’ve found something that focuses on actual fundamentals and teaches you how to evaluate a company’s intrinsic value correctly. I find this app easy to use and clearly understand. I’ve tried other apps but their inputs use a variety of soft factors whereas here you have a strictly rule based approach that gets the intrinsic value right every time using the buffet method which has been shown to be the most reliable way to measure intrinsic value. I can’t say enough great things about this app and this is an amazing find for beginners and experienced financial professionals! I would highly recommend having this in your financial toolkit for quick and reliable fundamentals of any company you want to analyze.

Who color coordinated this app???

On the calculator page all the text is barely visible, I’d really appreciate if someone could change either the background or the text color. So it’s legible.... like, good concept of an app, lazily done

There are no screens in our application utilizing white font on yellow background. We tried to change font settings on our iPhone at Accessibility->Display&TextSize->Smart Invert and Classic Invert. We get white font on black background or black font on yellow background. We never get white font on yellow background. Please see screen shots of all screens for our application provided in Apple Store. We would appreciate if you email us examples of screen shots with white font on yellow background to diyimplementer@gmail.com.

The white text on a yellow background is basically impossible to read. Please update the test to a dark color or black!!!!!

Please help us to analyze and debug the issue. Send us your iPhone's model number, software version and screen shots to diyimplementer@gmail.com. All fonts used in our application are black color on white, yellow and blue backgrounds.

Data load

It is unfortunate that the app does not load the data automatically . User wastes too much time to find the data and load into the app. Also i would suggest to ease data input like 12 b rather than 12,000,000,000 . The current price also would be simple to grab automatically from various available sources. It is a killer app if that suggestions are implemented. Thanks

Tough to read!

The app is useful, though the white text is really tough to read on the background. I’m colorblind. If there’s a way to change the text, I couldn’t find it. There appear to be no settings to adjust.
