About

INVENTOR turns an iPhone or iPad into an assembly verification station. Point the camera at a part, a subassembly, or a finished unit, and INVENTOR confirms that every component is present, correctly oriented, and correctly labeled — in seconds, at the workstation, before the part moves downstream. Built for manufacturing environments where a missed fastener, a reversed bracket, or a mislabeled tube becomes an expensive problem three stations later. WHAT IT CHECKS - Presence and absence of components - Orientation and placement of parts - Part identification against your configuration - Printed text, stamps, and labels via on-device OCR HOW IT WORKS INVENTOR is trained on your parts, in your facility. Capture reference images of correct assemblies and the model learns from them — no manual data labeling, no annotation contractors, no dataset handoff. Configurations are managed from a web console, and the trained model runs entirely on the device. Inspection results are stored locally and can be exported or synced to your own archive on your terms. CAPABILITIES - Detects features as small as 0.5 mm (0.020 in) - Reads characters as small as 1 mm (0.04 in) - Positional accuracy of ±10 mm - Works on parts from 50 mm to 4 m (2 in to 13 ft) - Working distance from 25 mm to 900 mm (1 in to 35 in) OFFLINE BY DESIGN All inference runs on the device. INVENTOR works on shop floors with no Wi-Fi, inside shielded cells, and in secure facilities. Images and inspection data stay inside your building unless you choose to move them. WHO USES IT Quality engineers, line operators, and manufacturing engineers in aerospace, composites, wind energy, electronics, and general industrial assembly. ACCESS INVENTOR requires an activation code and a configured workspace provided by Spiral. Visit spiral.technology/products/inventor to arrange an evaluation.
