InviChime

InviChime is a 100% free public-welfare initiative developed by a family team, built to bring peace of mind to anyone living alone. Inspired by traditional wind chimes—if there's physical motion, there is safety. Designed specifically to breathe new life into idle smartphones from the past decade, InviChime transforms an unused device into a silent home activity monitor (a digital chime). Simply mount your old phone to a refrigerator door/side or place it on a dining table. Away family members no longer need to call every day just to check in; they can know naturally if their loved one has woken up or cooked a meal. It provides an effortless safety net, ensuring loved ones are alerted quickly if an unexpected interruption occurs. Zero hardware cost, zero learning curve. No cameras, no intrusive monitoring, and no burden of daily check-in taps. Please share it with anyone in need. --- PRODUCT OVERVIEW InviChime is a free safety monitoring app for solo living. Utilizing internal device sensors, it intelligently captures "signals of daily life" generated by subtle household interactions. If zero activity is detected within custom watch windows and a local chime goes unanswered, the app automatically dispatches an Absence Alert to preset emergency contacts. It achieves seamless, camera-free protection—no account registration required, zero daily operations, and completely powered by repurposed old devices. THE INSPIRATION Solo living brings freedom, but also hidden risks—getting stuck in an elevator, trapped by a broken bathroom door lock, or experiencing a sudden health issue unable to call for help. Many independent individuals long for care, yet strongly resist being watched by invasive cameras. InviChime was created to solve this exact dilemma: providing safety without sacrificing personal dignity.
