What's New in InvoiceGen
1.2
September 2, 2026
Version 1.2 adds PDF signing, four more PDF templates, eight accent colors, and the ability to fix a document you have already issued. SIGN A PDF — INCLUDING ONE INVOICEGEN DID NOT MAKE - Open any PDF and place your signature, company stamp, an image or a line of text anywhere on any page. Drag to move, pull the corner to resize, pull the top handle to rotate, pinch to zoom in to 5x, and undo one mark at a time. - Draw a signature with a finger, Apple Pencil or trackpad, or design one from your typed name in a handwriting style, in black or blue ink. - New share extension: choose "Sign with InvoiceGen" from the share sheet in Mail, Files or Safari and sign without leaving the app you are in. - PDFs can also be opened with InvoiceGen straight from Files on iPhone and iPad, or Finder on Mac. - Marks are drawn into the page content instead of being attached as annotations, so a signed file looks the same in every PDF reader. Rotated and cropped pages are placed correctly. - Signed copies are collected in a Signed Documents section at the top of History, ready to view, share, reveal, delete or sign again. - Password-protected PDFs cannot be signed, and are reported clearly instead of failing silently. - On the free plan, signing a PDF uses one of your 5 documents for the month. With Pro, signing is unlimited. SEVEN PDF TEMPLATES - Compact joins Classic, Modern and Minimal as an included template. Executive, Sidebar and Elegant are new and require Pro. - The template picker now previews every template as a real PDF of a sample invoice, rendered by the same engine that makes your documents and carrying your own company name and logo. EIGHT ACCENT COLORS - Indigo is included. Ocean, Teal, Emerald, Plum, Crimson, Amber and Graphite require Pro. - Accents tint Modern, Executive, Sidebar and Elegant. Classic, Minimal and Compact stay black and white by design. EDIT A DOCUMENT YOU HAVE ALREADY ISSUED - Tap Edit on any document in History, change anything, and regenerate it in place. It keeps its document number and the files are replaced where they already are. - Regenerating does not spend one of your monthly documents. Changing the client or the document type earns a new number and counts as a new document. ALSO IN THIS RELEASE - The amount column now follows a currency code you set in your company profile — Amount (USD), Amount (SGD) — on both the PDF and the .docx. Amounts are not converted and carry no currency symbol. - Every control that needs Pro or a free document now says so, instead of doing nothing when tapped. - If a subscription lapses, nothing you have made is locked. Pro templates and accents fall back to Classic and Indigo, and your original choices return when you subscribe again. - Quick Draft now uses the Apple Intelligence system model on devices that have it, with no model download at all. - The company profile saves as you type, and logos and stamps can be supplied as PDF files. - Clearer messages when a PDF cannot be read or has not finished downloading from iCloud Drive. Free use still covers 5 issued documents or signed PDFs each month, and the count resets on the 1st.
