Great Bible resources
The inWORD app provides thousands of references to aid in Bible study and makes daily reading of the Bible easy. There are many other features and resources to explore. It’s well worth and more valuable than the small subscription fee.
Modest looking app with surprising features
You wouldn't know it at first glance, but this Bible app has tons of biblical content to help you understand the Bible, for the interface is super-clean, and very uncluttered, but there is a treasure-trove of Biblical content hidden out of plain sight. The secret one needs to learn is to tap on the verse numbers for the Bible text, and that is where you will see the depth of the Biblical content available. There is also a lot of features on the main menu panel which you don't find with any other Bible app. Definitely worth checking out.

Very comprehensive Bible app
This is probably the most comprehensive Bible app that is available to date. I have literally installed over 2 dozen Bible apps for iOS over the last 10 years and without question this is a very remarkable Bible study app. The simple interface can easily fool you at first, however, tap on a verse number and you will be impressed at the resources available. I’m impressed.

I enjoy the REV translation and the audio version of a bible passion
My biggest problem is I wished it was accessible offline. I sometimes do not have have internet in bible study or church I attend. Other than that I love the translation and really appreciate the translation and the app.

We've tried to address you concern with subsequent versions of the app. The app has been updated within the last year to allow you to read the Bible text locally without having to be connected online to the Internet. With regards to resources other than the Bible text itself, it would be unwelcome (if not impossible) to have hundreds of thousands of articles installed on your device, which is why the extra-Biblical content will remain on a server. This arrangement should give you the best experience overall. Please reach out to us if you are still encountering access issues to the main Bible text when you are offline. Amazing resources for studying the Bible
This app has so many amazing resources for studying the Bible and I love the scripture song section. I gave four stars because the feature to continue to the next verses is awkward…would like to see that changed to a continual scrolling instead of a new page.

I LOVE the InWord Bible study app! It’s so intuitive and easy to use, but in making it user-friendly InWord hasn't cut any corners. In fact, it jammed packed with a richness of resources that I’ve not seen in any other Bible app. The depth of its search functions and resources is truly astounding. It's like having an entire library at your disposal. A user can click on a verse number and be led to countless articles, essays, and commentaries related to that verse, so for those thorny verses that you’ve long had questions about, a variety of possible explanations are just a click away. Moreover, users aren’t charged extra to access these resources. ALL OF THEM come along automatically with the annual subscription. Other apps I've seen have few resources, and when they do, they want to charge you for every additional resource. With this app COUNTLESS resources are included with the annual subscription. InWord Bible also has simple to use search functions that allow you to see the interlinear translation of a particular verse. Another search option allows for a comparison of a translation of a particular verse across more than 40 translations of the Bible! What other Bible app does that? My husband and I also use its “Through the Bible in 1 Year” reading program daily. There are a couple of especially unique features about this aspect of the app. One of its novelties is that the reading plan gets you through the Old Testament in a year, but through the New Testament twice! I love that the reading plan is ambitious about getting users exposed to scripture. Another thing I love about the reading program is that you can select to listen to the daily scripture readings from more than a dozen listening options that include people simply reading scripture or from assorted dramatizations of scripture. We usually listen and read along at the same time. Incredibly, InWord also has a library of scripturally themed music and videos. When I’m stressed or working in the kitchen, I enjoy listening to the music play list. It works like a Christian radio station, but without all the commercials and distracting interruption. Plus, the music is really wonderful. They lyrics are all very scripturally based, and the styles are much more refreshing than what you'll hear on the typical Christian radio station. On top of this, there are also daily devotionals. Finally, there is also a desktop version of InWord that I use routinely when I'm working on Bible study topics. It's just as easy to use as the app, and again provides a treasure trove of extra-biblical resources. In sum, this app isn't just about reading the Bible. If you want to examine the scriptures daily (Acts 17:11) and grow in the knowledge of the God (Col 1:10), InWord is the app for you. As for me, InWord has truly revolutionized my Bible study, personal devotions, deepened my walk with God. I wouldn’t want to go a day without it! I'm deeply grateful to the developer/s! Deeply Indebted to the Developer of this App!
It is high time I took a moment to thank the developer of this app. This app is Truly a Rare Find, and I can’t imagine the years of careful research and scrubbing of material that went into providing not only such a massive library of articles and commentaries on each verse of the Bible, but also intelligent and accurate information not only from Bible scholars in our time, but throughout the ages! Yet the choices in material provided do not include any hard-to-read or understand material. I have been thrilled to press on a verse to find many articles that are easily and quickly read in our fast-paced world, but provide abundant scriptural support for the explanations. Questions I have had for years about various Bible verses have been thoroughly and very satisfactorily answered by the articles in this app! A person finding this app is like the pearl merchant that Jesus spoke about in Matthew 13:45-46: “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls, who, on finding one pearl of great value, went and sold all that he had and bought it.” I compare it to the $25K I spent going to a Christian university and having access to all the scholarly and peer-reviewed journals in their database for me to feed on for my research papers. You do have to weed through some irrelevant material on these sites, but with InWord, all the time researching is reduced to seconds with fantastic and informative articles immediately at your fingertips! [Peer-reviewed (refereed or scholarly) journals are articles written by experts and are reviewed by several other experts in the field before the article is published in the journal in order to ensure the article’s quality. (The article is more likely to be scientifically valid, reach reasonable conclusions, etc.) In most cases the reviewers do not know who the author of the article is, so that the article succeeds or fails on its own merit, not the reputation of the expert.] This seems to be the careful way that the developer was meticulous in what resources have been included in this app. As we know, we are constantly bombarded in our day with information from all sides, and the information and stories we come across are not always reliable, accurate, or relevant to our interests. But this app is so refreshing! It is like finding a clear spring of water with no debris or pollutants, so that one can really be deeply refreshed and truly satisfied for the time they invest into it, instead of being thirsty, frustrated, and despondent for spending time on yet another dead end. Ironically, instead of “selling all one has” to buy the “pearl,” the developer has asked for such a pittance for all its resources! This is a true sacrifice of love on his part for his fellow man, and I am truly grateful!
