Great Radio Station but…
IPR is a fantastic source for all things news. Most of the time they cover events well and hide pretty much all the info you need to understand a clear picture of what’s actually going on . But….
It is time for all websites, apps, etc., to just stop tracking people. None of us should have to constantly opt out of cookies or other tracking tech connected to the apps and sites we use in order to maintain our privacy.
The almighty dollar has become more important than our privacy and it’s getting ridiculous…If I didn’t have to opt out of privacy tracking bs or wonder who the hell is buying my information, or what they will try to sell me based on my internet experiences and searches, I’d give five stars.

this app is unstable
app randomly stops playing when running in background. very annoying. have tried reinstalling. no joy.
Appropriate for the Times
I downloaded this app when looking for alternate news sources. Corporate news media is not providing in depth reporting. Only what the donors allow. Good to have public radio and television.
Wonderful rescourse
I drive for work so when I am in areas of Iowa, that do not have radio reception for classical music I have been waiting for the ability to stream the programming. Thank you, IPR!

Apps that beg for ratings are bad
You also have to wade through pop-ups to get into the app
Great news and music programming
News I can trust-with content that is trustworthy-even if I dislike knowing about something—the facts are there. I can make up my own mind!! I also enjoy the variety of music much of which I wouldn’t find on my own. Access to international platforms also gives balance to our domestic editorials. Keep it up!

Lately, about a month or so, the app disconnects about 5 minutes after listening. Sometimes it comes on again on its own but most of the time I have to restart it. This happens on my iPad and my iPhone. I’ve rebooted my iPad and iPhone and I’ve cancelled and reloaded the app but no success. I start listening about 4:30am CST so enjoy the BBC newscast before the NPR program. As soon as a different station in the Pacific time zone is on, I switch as I don’t have the problem with them.

Great resource for local/ state news
Got tired of listening to national news podcasts and not keeping up with what’s going on in our own state. I am thankful for this app with on-demand programming that I can pick up and go through specific topics without getting all the rest!!!

We stream IPR just about every day and it works very well with our iPhones and mini pods. We enjoy both news and contemporary music programming. The app is easy to use and reliable! Highly recommend this listening experience.

IPR Child
I’ve listened to IPR whenever my parents drove me around town, especially to the switching yard in Iowa City. Trains calmed me down as a child, so IPR associated with that calms me down on my long commutes to teach every day.
