IP Cam 2
I downloaded this a year or so ago for my IMac and MacBook Pro. It has been setting unused because I got flustrated getting it to work - the documentations seemed too vague about specifics for me to comprehend..
Yesterday I fired it up because the Amcrest Survailance Pro application I used stopped working with macOS updates and 64bit updates they noted 4 years ago have not appeared.
This, version 7.47, popped open after a few clicks and showed all 5 Amcrest camers on my network.
I gave only 4 stars because complete camera setup is, for me, stumbling trial and error the get the exact settings I want.

The original app was wonderful. Not any more
When I updated this app a few years ago when the developer came back out from under his rock, the update corrupted the camera database and removed the in-app purchase that I had bought that allowed the viewing of unlimited cameras.
Very shady behavior by the developer.
After gingerly recreating my camera database within the app, I am now only able to have 10 cameras in view-only mode. If I add any more, it tells me to buy a license. My previous in-app purchase that gave me unlimited view-only camera is gone and there's no way to restore it to the app.

Great for a 1 cam guy
I can’t comment on its performance for more than 1 camera, but for my single Amcrest camera house, setup/auto-detect as a breeze. An excellent app and better than the half dozen clunky ones I tried prior. Also better than the app designed by the manufacturer of my Amcrest camera!
Excellent IP Cam viewer
I have tried TONS of free IP cam viewers for MacOS and this one is by far the easiest and nicest one. It works perfectly with bith my ELP and AMCrest cameras. I have a ton of cameras and it handles them all seemlessly. The other GREAT feature that is missing from almost every other app is that it lets you setup your own custom views for rows/columns to see all the cameras you want without having to have a ton of blanks if you want like 11 cameras at once but don’t want to go to a 4/4 grid. It also views the cameras in the correct aspect ratio at a nice high framerate without a lot of compression artifacts like most others have. Great all around.

Great app
This is a great app for viewing your IP cams and RTSP streams. I had an issue with the program and the devs were amazingly fast to respond to my email and fix the problem (they responded within an hour after me sending an email, and after going back a forth to pinpoint the problem, they released an update two days later).
The only thing I wish they could improve is the strain it puts on the CPU.

Doesn’t Work
Program does not work.
Requires OSX High Sierra and won’t load on any prvious version of OSX.
I updated my machine to High Sierra and loaded the program. It says that monitoring the first 10 cameras is free, but there is no way to activate the cameras. I have 3 cameras configured that the program says are online, that the program has successfully connected to and initialized but when it tries to retrieve video, a "connection is lost" error displays. Older versions had an “activate” button that is no longer in the new version. All of their support is based on the older version so is no help at all.
Looks like they tried to make this compatible with High Sierra and change their licensing and have failed miserabley.

Worst app ever
DO NOT BUY THIS APP. Developer has left it for dead. So buggy, tons of memory leaks, binds up your machine and makes everything run like crap. Constantly having to force quit. Hopefully you don’t have a prowler aroud your house because when you go to look for the footage, you’ll find that the system was frozen and this app needed to force quit.
It’s literally worth less than nothing. Even if it were free you wouldn’t want it, because it will cost you more money in the long run due to inoperability and false sense of security.

Once upon a time I bought IP Camera Viewer … and now suddenly I get screwed with in-app purchases?

Since I was traveling and needed space, I temporary removed it …
Now a few months later when I want to reinstall it, I get confronted with “in app purchases” and be forced to “pay” for every camera I connect?
Excuse me … that’s not the product I bought!
The version I bought had NO limitation in adding camera’s and did not demand “points” to get my camera’s connected.
The once so useful application has now become useless to me.
And it’s not about the $1 or 1Euro per camera, it’s about the fact that I have puchased an application that did not have this rip-off sceme in it.
Give me back the old version, or remove the so called “point” system.

Thank You - Works Perfect
My MacBook Pro updated and then the app I bought for my Foscam was stuck and just kept crashing. It worked fine on my Mac Air but not on the Pro anymore. This app just solved the last 5 months of problems and this app works great with Foscam camera’s and a MacBook Pro. My MacBook update to Yosemite and then it did not work and my AIr is Yosemite, so that was strange but I am happy to be able to view my camera’s on all my electronics!

does not support sricams
I recently got a sricam outdoor surveillance camera and was trying to view the video feed on my mac and found that sricam does not support mac and i found this application hoping that it would work for my camera, but it did not, im hoping that sricam will be added to the list of supported cameras on IP Camera Viewer 2. My camera says IP on the side of it but even when i try auto detecting the camera it does not work.

Very good App
The setup only took a couple of minutes. The app is very easy to negotiate and customize. I very much like the motion sensor recording feature. I do wish there was an E-mail notification option for the motion detection. The picture is not as clear as when I view the camera straight from my chrome browser.

App works but developer ignores problem report.
While this app appears to work fine it will flood your system log with thousands upon thousands of "CFNetwork internal error” messages. My attempts to get this resolved through the IP Camers Viewer 2 Support link on this have been ignored. If the app is left running it will eventually fill your boot partition and silently cause system wide problems. Do NOT pay this developer anything until they fix this fatal flaw. It does not matter what is causing theses messages. I do not need hundreds of thousands of them.

I currently have 28 ip cameras that I monitor from my macbook pro. I originally had the ipcamera viewer software but they quit upgrading it with new camera profiles so I had to get the ipcamera viewer 2 software because I got a newer camera and they only supported it on the ipcamera viewer 2 software. Now I have another newer camera and its not supported on this software but supposedley it is on the ipcamera recorder software so your telling me I have to buy yet another version of your software to monitor my cameras and pay an additional fee for each camera even though I do not want to record from them? No thanks. I will find another solution somewhere else. Also, why does this software put such a strain on my cpu? I can view twice as many cameras on my ipad at the same time with no problem yet looking at the same cameras from my mac book pro with intel i7 sends my cpu usage over %120? I have sent multiple questions to the developer asking if they will upgrade the software to support newer cameras but have not recieved a reply. The developers must have left this app for dead. No support, they dont return emails, and its beeen nearly a year since this app has had an update, its still at version 1.0!
I do not reccomend anybody to by this software or any software from this developer until they change the way they do business. Oh how I wish the developers of the live cams pro ios app would develop a mac app.

Works great
My only gripe would be that I am on a very small SSD, yet I have a HUGE 4 Terabyte drive I could use to keep months of video on. But sadly it forces you to use the “Movies” folder. Just very dumb to lock you out of that control. I have found a way around it though through Automator:
Launch Automator. When prompted to choose a template for your workflow, select Calendar Alarm. In the workflow area, string together these three actions: Get Specified Finder Items, Get Folder Contents, and Copy Finder Items. For the first command, navigate to the Movies Folder and set it to pull from there. Ignore the middle command. Just leave it alone and keep the tick box unticked. On the last command set the folder you want the recordings to be copied to every day. I set mine to DropBox so I can have off site recording in case my iMac gets lifted if someone breaks in. Therefore I can still access the footage. Save the file. Calendar will launch. Select the new event and using the edit menu in the toolbar up top, go to Edit>Edit Event. Set to run at like 3 am or something.
Then make a new Calendar Alarm event. We are only going to change the last step in the list of commands:

In the workflow area, string together these three actions: Get Specified Finder Items, Get Folder Contents, and Move Finder Items to Trash. Not an IDEAL solution, but it’s a heck of a lot better than having a full local SSD drive! I hope this helps. The developers really need to build in this functionality, but until then, my hacky solution will work for most people.

Best out there for Mac
The best IP Camera software out there for mac. I needed software i could use that would record video on my computer when motion is detected. All other programs ive tried crash or have bugs. And there expensive. I love this and will never use anything else.
Love this app on my iMac
I love to pull this app up when I'm on my iMac and see all my cameras. I have many different cameras like Foscam/D-link/Agasio which all work and the pan/tilt work with them too. However, I recently got a Tenvis 2013 and this camera caused a major issue with this software as it would continue to attempt to bring up an image and I would have to Force Quit the program. I contacted DComplex and they responded immediately with a recommendation and are attempting to fix this problem. Even with this minor issue for me I would purchase this application again and again.
The only other wish I might have is to be able to add some public WebCams like our local traffic cams. Maybe you can already do this I just haven't figured it out yet.

Very nice application, ans does what it says!
After using BlueIris in the Windows world, I was looking for a good multi-camera recorder for OSX and found this one. Setup took a couple of minutes, and was extremely easy to configure.
My only suggestion, and the reason I gave it 4 stars instead on 5 was the fixed location of the date and time stamp in the top, center of the recorded video. A nice enhancement would be the ability to place the timestamp anywhere the user wants on the screen, and the select their own colorfor the timestamp font for maximum visibility.
Try this program, and you will not be disapointed - a quality product all around!

Works well for me
I've been using IP Camera Viewer 2 (PC version) for almost a year now and It works well for me all this time. I have 5 IP wireless camera (Foscam like). Easy to setup once you know what you're doing. Im so thankful that the developer came out with MAC version, which I've been waiting for since I started using the Windows version. Thanks guys!

Just what I wanted
I am using 2 cameras in my set up. The Axis was detected automatically by this app. The Trendnet camera was connected manually, but it was a simple process. I have both set up to record on motion and with face detection. That whole set up took 5 minutes at the most. It is working flawlessly.
This is a simple layout which is customizable to the amount of cameras you have. I paid the $1.99 to add the recording capability of my second camera. It would be nice to have the ability to save the files to a location other than the Movies folder, especially since I have a huge external drive. Another want, is the ability to FTP an image, either during an event or at a set interval.
Good job. I'm looking forward to how this will improve.
