About

IP Dashboard is the first native iOS application built end-to-end for intellectual-property practitioners. Records, renewals, letters, reminders and billing — written ground-up in Swift for iPhone and iPad, with everything stored in your own iCloud private database. WHAT IT IS, IN ONE SENTENCE A focused portfolio manager for patent attorneys, in-house counsel, and solo practitioners, designed to do a defined set of things carefully, and to refuse to do the things it cannot do well. WHAT'S INCLUDED AT LAUNCH · Records: patents, trademarks, designs, copyright, trade secrets, domain names and invention disclosures, with priority, filing, publication, grant, registration, renewal and expiry dates. Patent sub-kinds (PCT, EP direct, divisional, CIP, validation…). Family lineage. Tags and references. · Renewals: a built-in cycle engine for the major jurisdictions (UK, EP, US maintenance fees, JP, CN, DE, FR, AU, design and trademark renewals). View by 30/90/365-day window or "all upcoming" grouped by record. Mark cycles paid only when inside the standard 90-day payment window. · Letters: eighteen PDF templates: a Blank Letter starter that auto-includes the record's details and any non-internal reminders, plus seventeen ready-made forms across renewals, chasers, prosecution covers (PoA, IDS, assignment recordation, examiner-interview requests), grant congratulations and abandonment notices. Rendered to PDF on your firm letterhead. Dispatched via the native iOS Mail composer. · Contacts (Practitioner Mode): separates inventors from clients, agents and owners, each with their own default attention line, copy-to addresses and reference codes. Per-client matter references for joint-ownership cases. · Reminders: multi-offset local notifications (30/7/1 days before). Three importance levels (Internal, Important, Vital) that control whether a reminder appears in client correspondence. · Documents: per-record DMS. Import PDFs, images and Office files via the iOS share-sheet. Encrypted at rest. · Time & Billing (Practitioner Mode): per-record timer, rates, currencies, budget envelopes and an invoice PDF renderer. · Audit trail: every record edit, letter sent, reminder rung, IDS filed and renewal paid is logged locally with configurable retention. · Corrections (opt-in): an elevated mode that undoes paid markers, overrides the standard payment window, or adjusts the renewal base date — every elevated action audited distinctly. PRIVACY, NOT AS A PROMISE BUT AS AN ARCHITECTURE · Records live in your own iCloud private database. The developer has no operational access. · No analytics, no telemetry, no advertising identifiers, no third-party SDKs. · The AI assistant uses Apple's on-device models — no Anthropic, OpenAI or Google integration. · Outbound mail goes through your own iOS Mail account via the system compose sheet. · Free to install. No subscription, no in-app purchases, no usage tier. TWO AUDIENCE MODES, ONE FREE APP A Settings toggle picks the surface that suits you. Practitioner Mode is tailored for attorneys, agents and in-house counsel — Client / Agent / Owner contacts, time-and-billing, IDS workflows. Standard Mode is the leaner surface aimed at SMEs and inventors managing their own portfolio. Both modes ship in the same free download; switch any time. WHAT IP DASHBOARD DOES NOT DO · It does not file at the patent office. The app produces correspondence, you (or your filing agent) submit it. · It is not a mailbox. No IMAP, no SMTP, no inbox. · It is not a multi-user platform. Designed for individual and small-firm use on your own devices. · It is not legal advice. Calculated deadlines follow published jurisdiction rules but are not a substitute for professional judgement. Verify against the official register before acting.
