Hard to find self-hosted bandwidth test
God, this was hard to find. I searched for months for a bandwidth tester on the iPhone that can be used on the local LAN. Thanks a lot for this. I have one request though: It seems to me that the upload test doesn't take down the socket when finished or between loops, until the user leaves the upload test view. Would be great if it did so the server side could gain a clear idea of the connection state and could take its own measurements.

(For OS X users: nc supports the -k option, so you don't need to wrap the command in a while loop).
