I have worked with Phyl for just over 5 years and this is one of the best tools that she has created. The IPACT is so easy to use. You can make an activity that the students are actively engaged in, in just minutes. This is a tool that any student can use in any setting. It is a wonderful way to differentiate and include students of any ability.

“Exciting Educational Tool to assist in differentiation and making curriculum accessible for ALL!”

The iPACT is an exciting educational tool that one can use to create a variety of materials for any given curriculum content area, life skills, and social communication curriculum. You can see that a GREAT deal of thought has gone into the set-up and scaffolding of all the activities. It even includes a manual. You can easily create an activity and then modify it, if need be, to fit the needs of your students. It can be used to assist an individual, small group, or teach an entire class.

It has great potential to be used in a variety of ways, by a variety of professionals, in a variety of situations. As a Speech and Language Pathologist in an elementary setting, I was able to create a low tech book entitled, “Read About How I Communicate and Share” for one of my two nonverbal students and then upload that into the iPACT to be shared with the student’s class in order to increase peer awareness/understanding of how my nonverbal student communicates with her eyes. The book can now be shared via Apple TV with her whole class. I have seen the iPACT used in a kindergarten class, combining high tech and low tech, to teach curriculum content vocabulary to the entire class, including handicapped students, in a fun game format.

Phyl Macomber’s T.H.E. P.A.C.T. framework allows for curriculum to be accessible for all students whether they have a handicap or not. I highly recommend T.H.E. P.A.C.T.framework and the iPACT app will be a great technological tool for differentiation and assisting in making the curriculum accessible for all while engaging students in their learning.

EASY

The iPACT really reduces the prep time needed to create lessons. Using the iPACT, I create an activity once and then clone it or convert it to differentiate the activity for different learner levels.

WOW! This app is GROUND BREAKING AND POWERFUL! It is FANTASTIC, A MIRACLE! I recently moved from working with elementary school children grades k-4 to upper elementary grades 5-6. I needed a system to integrate the curriculum into therapy and take DATA. The iPACT is it! Versatile, creative, functional, and creative. It allows one to address language learning at all levels including adult therapy.
Core components of learn about, talk about, read about and write about expands and information and photos can be quikly manipulated into different formats. It portability and flexibility make it the only app one needs for therapy. The price is extremely reasonable considering the vast possibilities for use. Thank you Phyl for creating this gift for all of us!
