Truly Useless
IPA dictionaries/translators have four functions:
1. Transcribe the words into IPA.
2. Separate the words into syllables.
3. Indicate the stressed syllable.
4. Distinguish the short from long vowels in the case of German.
This app only addresses bullet #1 and ignores the others. I give it one star because it’s better than nothing, but it’s still useless to me. I’ll be getting a better app that does the job.

I'm a singer and I have been waiting for an app like this! It's simple, easy to use and I haven't found a mistake yet. Must have for any vocalist. The other ipanows are just as awesome.

Tremendous application
These IPA Diction apps are tremendous aids for singers and choir directors - anyone that uses the International Phonetic Alphabet. I can usually find the text online, paste it into the program - then get an outstanding IPA transcription to guide my pronunciation.
