Poor

Unfortunately this is one of the worse apps I have ever used, when being developed was there any understanding how schools and patents would use ?? Working in the technology industry, it is embarrassing how education is using technology and is pitifully woeful :(

Slow and pointless

Unable to navigate between multiple schools. Fail

Keeps logging out, no FaceID support

frustrating to have to keep logging in every time
and it forgets your previous password then have to reset it, no FaceID support, just a hassle to use

Mr Marcus Warren

Change where you register absentee’s as I cannot find it. It’s not intuitive. Both my wife and I have given up trying to find it. Please sort it out!

useless!

Best avoided.

Buggy app and no response from help desk

Frustrating experience. My wife’s account is stuck in limbo with an obtuse error message, and bo response from help desk for almost a week now.

It’s not updating

I have to check the new section but it’s not working no matter how many times I reset

Dreadful

Useless app very frustrating

Intrusive

Intrusive

Error messages keep popping up

I keep getting data error when I log in and click my kids name. Tried reinstalling the app several times but it is just the app issue. On a computer I can still see all info.

No support available

Push notifications won’t turn on. When I go to the help and feedback functions these don’t work either.

Error on app

Encountering error on logging into app.

Login broken

Fed up having to log in with uid and password every time when face recognition has CLEARLY BEEN ENABLED. Please fix.

Glitchy notifications

I use iSams as a Teacher and as a Parent. I despise it. It is fine on a computer but the apps either have enormous lag or are glitchy. For example, I see a badge that I have 38 notifications. On opening the app I go into messages. In the ‘unread tab’ I select a message and read it. It disappears, presumably into the ‘read tab’. After reading all the messages I look in the main menu at the number of notifications; despite reading all 38 messages, I now have 36 notifications. Going back into unread messages and - like magic - the messages I have just read have reappeared marked as unread! The ‘delete all’ button does nothing. Doesn’t even delete one message! So I use the ‘edit’ button in the lower left and delete each message individually…. Back to the menu and again most of the messages have magically reappeared. This occurs in both parent and teacher apps.
I installed the app 8 months ago and the issue has never resolved. As our school were usually just sending about 10 news stories a week to parents and nothing else I just ignored the notifications. However, a recent school email tells me that all medical updates for my child will be reported via iSams. I know I will inevitably miss these messages because I don’t have 5 minutes every day to fight to delete read messages and therefore the notifications build up and up. I have deleted and reinstalled the app with no joy.
This glitch happens in the iSams Teacher and iSams Parent apps.
On a different note, our school uses iSams to email parents various letters. Half go straight to my junk mail and if other parents didn’t forewarn me they were there I wouldn’t notice them. You may say this is a setting on my email account - but explain to me why the same member of staff (school secretary) sent 3 emails within 30 minutes and one made it to my inbox but two went to junk? They all had very similar message subjects.
Very disappointing. ISams is fine to use on a computer and has a lot of potential app-wise but the company should not have released these apps until they had been fully tested.

The app would get more stars except for the login procedure. There doesn’t seem to be a reminder for updating your password so when it’s outdated you have to contact your administrator to give a temporary password, login using that and then change it. It’s a pain.

Feedback

Not user friendly

Missing comms icon/button

I downloaded the app I’m very happy with how it works but the comms button is missing

Password frustration

We only use the app to read school reports which come out termly, by which time passwords expire. Literally every time I use the app I have to create a new password.
But the password criteria on the reset page don’t tell the whole story, it says you need a capital and a number etc but nowhere does it tell you that there have to be at least twelve characters, until after it rejects everything you’ve typed in clears all the boxes because your password is invalid. Put ALL the password criteria on the page!
