Unacceptable
To download to your device just the 510mb content is like mining a bitcoin. You’ll remember this experience for your life. Be careful you might burn your device too.
Glitch, list removed
I had about three lists of saved plants, I went to open the lists page and they were all gone. Please fix this glitch thank you.
Good info, bad UI
If the app works, it’s filled with fantastic information on everything you could ask for. But that’s a big ‘if’. Crashes more than a VW test dummy, uglier than politics at Christmas. For $14 I’m pretty disappointed.
Crashing
Once a great app, but then it started to crash maybe 20% of searches but now I cannot view a single tree. No matches and crashes when in visual browsing
A bit of a flop
Don’t get me wrong, the information on this app is incredible! When it decides to load.... I press into a certain plant and it just freezes on me constantly 😕😕😕
Great app!
This is an ideal app for my home garden, I can just imagine how good it is for students!
IPlant File Pro
This is an outstanding app. I never leave home without it on the chance that I may end up being somewhere there is a plant that I am not able to identify. IPlant File Pro is everything it claims to be and more. I hope the creators of this app keep it updated and growing. It will be one of those apps that withstands the test of time. The app is priced very reasonably. I have no connection of any type to the app or it’s creator,s other than being a happy customer.

Hateful
2 stars only for a good idea, but Dont waste your money, not intuitive to use, help is only one page and useless, crashes, i want my money back
Thumbs up
Great app, but an iPad version would also be fantastic 😃
Serious Database Fault
iPantFile Pro has operating problems that are so severe as to make it largely unusable. It should not have been made available on the App Store. I suggest that it be withdrawn until the serious issues are rectified. Here is just one example (using iPhone 6):
1) Search a plant (Leucadendron - 6 finds; Syzygium - 8 finds).
2) Always the final two finds cannot be clicked to display the information on the specific plants which is the ultimate purpose of the app (Leucandendron #5 and #6; Syzygium #7 and 8 in my example).
3) If the plant searched for is common, the "finds" might be much greater but always the final two cannot be clicked for more information.

Limited species
Only had a quick glance, but the app lacks many common native species around Melbourne. Not talking about the small stuff either, large trees and very common shrubs. Might work for a landscaper, but unfortunately won't replace a good detailed book for any type of survey work.
Awesome for the money
I bought this ap recently and have used it along side my landworkscad software to help me choose plants for the designs I do. Best resource I have found and I can copy the photos into my cad package too. Well done. Love it.
fantastic
This is a fantastic resource for those who study, work with or are interested in plants
Great App !
Didn't find " download all databases " option. I have most of my time off Internet, and select all the plants one by one is just impossible! Hope this can be fixed in new upgrade ! Still love this app! Thanks!
iPlantFilePro
A great resource with loads of information for the home gardener - extensive data base that is constantly being increased; easy to use and to navigate around. Thank you.
Awsum!!!
What an awsum app!!! A definite must have for horticulture apprentices/ students.
Very handy for doing assignments and just to freshen up your plant knowledge in general.

Good app!!
Great app but needs turf species!!
Only let down!!
Only let down!!
Good library, hard to access
It's a good library. However, it's hard to access the library unless user spells the exact correct name only to see that particular genus; sequential swipes take forever to reach to the genus after the A alphabet. Pictures are small. A little lighter color for the Water Use, Aspect, Spread, Height banner at the bottom can help with visual clarity.

Brilliant application but it's too small for the iPad screen. When enlarged it's slightly out of focus. Hopefully this will be fixed in an update. A very useful resource!
Best plant app available
As a gardener/landscaper I use this app very often on an iPad and it blows me away! It is a great tool for anyone who is into plants.
I use it for plant ID and get all the stuff I could possibly want to know about a huge range of plants like care info on pruning, aspect, soil, position and so on as well as loads of info on cultivars, pests, size and you can download selections and email them or open them on another ipad or iphone for easy sharing.
Best of all I can use it on the go which is where I am mostly.
Print books will stay a great resource for me when I'm designing a garden but I often want/need to know something when I am on the job and my plant book library is a bit too big and heavy to cart around whereas my ipad is portable without hassles.
The entire database can be downloaded on your device which is easy for when there's no wifi or if you don't have 3 or 4G.
Great value app, great tech service at a very low price (less than 10 bucks! ) - that is 10 OUT OF 10 for me!
