Verb app

This a great app to work on verbs. I like that you can do flash cards or find it. The flash cards lets you hear all three tense forms in words, phrases or sentences. In Find it you can find one or all three forms in a field of four pics. I think there should be a next button on the Find it section. I would review some of the pics chosen as there are some that I feel could be better represented. Two that I think could use immediate changes would be choke and touch and instead use something along the lines of someone holding throat for choke and someone touching a flower or other object. Overall, I like the app but it would really be amazing if you had pics to represent each tense form. That kind of visual would be so helpful to the kids we work with. But I do understand that is a huge undertaking, but still something to consider over time. It would most likely be accomplished with professional pics or artwork instead of stock photos.

I love using this app when targeting various verb tenses in my speech therapy sessions! It is very engaging for students and they ask to use this app all the time!

Great verb app

The app is great to work past, present, future verbs. I like how I can choose which ones to target. The kids enjoy collecting the "monster cards". I wish I had the option to turn off the words at bottom for students that can read.

Love this app

Great for on the go therapy. Love how it tracks data! Also appreciate how it can adapt to the needs of each student by being able to manipulate the target present progressive, pat tense etc.

SLP

I love the simplicity of this app. It targets what I need it to while motivating my kiddos at the same time simply because it's on an iPad. It's great that I can choose exactly which verbs I want to target so it works for my entire caseload. Would definitely recommend this for your speech app arsenal!

OK app

I like using this app to target various verb tenses. There are two modes that you can use, flash cards or find it. A lot of the verbs are hard for kids who can't read to figure out such as learn, give, and look.

SLPA

I purchased this app quite awhile ago and immediately noticed that it listed irregular verbs in the regular verb column. I contacted the developers and they said they would fix it on their next update. That was several months ago and nothing has changed. It has a select/deselect button so that I can avoid irregular verbs when I only want to work on regular verbs, but they continue to show up even though I did not select them. This is one of the more expensive apps I've purchased and I'm disappointed in the quality of it.

Awful photos

The pictures and photographs used to illustrate verbs in this app are terrible! The photo for "clean" is a woman in a wench's costume scrubbing the floor with a brush! And most of the photos are taken at an odd angle from above the subject, as if the user is looking down at the person. What a disappointment.

iPractice verbs

Great app. Simple and user friendly. Only drawback is not being able to track students.

Good concept but some odd image choices

I use this to informally assess clients ability to understand and use verbs. It's great to lighten my bag by leaving the piles of flash cards behind and the children love the chance to use my IPad. I do have to be careful when selecting the verbs though. I was very surprised to find that "play" brings up a picture of a woman playing poker. Not really appropriate for 4 year olds!

Good app

I love how many levels this covers, and the photos are very clear. The audio reinforcers are motivating without being distracting. Nice job!

Allicia

Love this app, but could you possible add an option to track individuals students responses and data? Maybe an upgrade to a version for professionals like in preposition remix?

Parent

As a parent trying to supplement my daughters speech therapy I have found this app to be very helpful for her. I love all of our Smarty Ears apps!

Disappointed 'tho pictures are great.

I was disappointed that the exact same pictures were used for both present and past tense. There is also no way to keep track of how well the child does - program does not collect any data (correct/incorrect, words missed etc.).

Disappointing

It seems like it would be a good app if it would work!!!! Very aggravating!! What a disappointment ...

Bugs?

I'm having a lot of problems with this app...the first one I've ever bought that just crashes constantly!

Can not get the program to stop loading. Requested assist from developer. No response. Very disappointed. First bad app I have purchased. Asking apple for refund. Use my I pad for therapy only. Would not buy this app

Don't bother with this

I was hoping for an app that depicted actions through movement for present tense, then stop action for past tense. There is NO movement at all here, just a voice-over reading past or present tense sentences. Weird photo choices for some ('choke' is depicted by a man hanging himself with his tie, real child-friendly!) I have used it successfully to work on pronouns 'he, she, they'.

Happy with this

While a little pricey, this app has been useful. Some of the images used to demonstrate the words are a bit odd and could be a bit less random, but enough work to make it worthwhile. My only complaint is that there is only one image per word, so there's no help generalizing the concept out, past that picture. Would be great to see an update, with this taken into consideration.

IPractice verbs

The pictures on this app are quite nice...for the present tense. unfortunately they do not depict the past tense well In addition, it would have been nice to have different pics to show the past the past tense...this is confusing to my students.

My students and I are really bothered by the "duck voice" at the start of the app. It's an annoying voice. In fact I know folks who have not purchased this app because of this voice.

For present tense verbs, this app is fine and there are many verbs from which to choose.
