Something to put in the gap Quitting takes a routine away and leaves the cue behind. The new Habits tab is where something else goes in. Pick a starter or write your own, and say when you will do it — a plan in that shape holds up better than a bare intention, which is why it asks for the when rather than the why. Read it three ways: Days lines every habit up against the last five, Cards gives each one its own streak, Months shows the whole month at once. Tap a habit for its own page — every day you kept it, and a calendar you can press and hold to write a note against that day. Reminders are per habit now, up to three each: one for the walk, one for lights out. Three habits are free, or all of them with Pro. And when the last one of the day goes in, the day says so. The journal's writing page finally gets the screen. How the day went and what was going on come first, on a page of their own; then the paper is yours, full height, with the day's prompt waiting in it.
