Great Customer Support
After having noticed a glitch with adding “Period” edits in the Event Log that caused the app to crash, I emailed their support and got an email back not even a day a later. They asked me what specific actions were causing the issue, and I told them the steps to recreate it. Within 2 days they fixed the issue, and released an update, and now it works perfectly. Overall they have great customer service and I wanted to make that known.

Great app for stats
Not bad, they should add 3s for turnovers and assists to turnover ratios… I wouldn’t mind adding which ref called the fouls and when the team misses a shot what player prevented it, that would be insane but some room to advance it, oh yea… they should add the type of shot too layup, jump shot, and tip ins aren’t the only ones… floaters and fade a way shots are some… need to add 3seconds in the turnover category!!!

No auto update
There should be an auto update everytime I need to add a game or anything out the normal it crashes. There should be an auto update everytime

Great App … with a question!
I’ve been the league coordinator for Ultimate Hoops in Texas and using the App for 5 years.
Because of a recent change, they are shutting down their regular Internet website for stats.
If I choose another option to upload the stats for the players and their families, I have a slight problem.
Basically, I do the shots and fouls, using the app, but I do rebounds, assists and turnovers by having someone record them manually.
Is there a way to add the total number of rebounds etc. to a player’s stats for that game, and then process the report, or do I have to try to add them as individual entries?

Been using for four years Assisting HS Varsity. I use for both scouting and live stat tracking. There’s always more to learn about this app.
Plenty of different reports that’re customizable. Exports to MaxPreps.
I can send a backup file to Head Coach so its all at his fingertips.

App crashing
I have used this app for 3 years for my son’s game and love it. I recently downloaded it onto a different iPad and every time I try to share a game report, the app crashes. Can you please fix this so I can share the game stats with his coaches?

Digital Scout
I first looked at basketball stat tracking software about 10 years ago when my daughter was playing high school basketball. At that time Digital Tracker was the only serious affordable option.
At that time I was going to run it on a palm pilot, but the cost of the equipment/software was not coming down at a rapid enough rate for me to move forward with a purchase.
Fast forward to today. I have three grandson’s playing. I was just going to track everything by hand (something I had gotten good with during my daughters playing days).
There was a player on my oldest grandson team that I thought put up a lot of bad shots and wished that I had been tracking his number to see if it was just an eye test thing or if stats would back up my conclusions. I remembered that a lot of those questions could be answered if I tracked the stats of the entire team.
I looked at software available on the Android platform and while there is a vast number of options, each lacked some feature that I wanted. If the data was easy to enter then reporting was bad. If it had reporting it would not include a shot chart of hits and misses.
Finally I took another look at Digital Scout. I knew it had everything that I wanted in a software package, but it ran on the Apple Platform.
I finally broke down and purchased a used IPad. Needless to say it is one of the best investments that I have ever made.
Tracking stats is straight forward and simple. The reporting is great and I can track multiple teams.
To help ease the work load on my end (when there are back-to-back rebounds and shot attempts you can have a hard time trying to enter stats and keep an eye on the action) I have found it helps if you partner with a “spotter” to work with you to help make sure you do not miss anything. Also, I only track the true status of our team. I keep up with the scoring of the opponent and in tough games the fouls of the opponents best players, otherwise work overload becomes a problem. If your player is in 6th grade or lower the action happens slow enough that you will not run into problems.
All-in-all I highly recommended it and just love the app overall.

Best Basketball Scorebook
I have used this app for several years. From High School to Middle school and AAU teams my four children.
Very difficult user experience.
A lot of bells and whistles but the miss the boat on league/ team mgmt. it is waaayyyy too cumbersome to use and that is being polite.

Please make this app open source on Github!!! I would love to contribute to it and improve it with quicker release cycles. Otherwise it’s a great app

Email reports not working
The app has been great but it seems that recently (last month or so), sending reports via email stopped working. Is this a known issue?

My only complaint is that my attempt to get help from customer service fell on deaf ears, very disappointing considering the first time I reached out, they couldn’t do enough to help me.
I discovered a glitch in the latest version and I hoped to get it fixed. For some reason, the system randomly adds an additional free throw attempt as a miss when two or more free throws are recorded. There is no pattern to what triggers it to happen, but during the course of a high school basketball game, I’ll find 3 - 5 occurrences. I hope someone sees this and it results in an update to fix.
This app has gotten me through my two boys 4 year high school career and one college career. I’m looking forward to the start of a second college career with this app, hopefully, with an updated free throw fix!

Great scoring tool
This is a great tool. Being able to display the shot charts to players is really an eye opener!
Best stats app!
I have been using it now for 2 years with close to 100 games stats taken, of footage. Has everything you need for stats types.
Easy to fix mistakes by editing the running play log. Export shot charts, which my coaches love and all major scoring and non-scoring stats.
