Great sort features but it’s not free like PubMed

So this app is really cool in that it sorts by levels of graded evidence, impact factor, relevance — all of the quality studies. However, the search screen is misleading and a bit of a false advertisement. Under the cloak of searching PubMed (and it appears to actually BE PubMed), you get one search but then must subscribe. $50/per year. So the real value is the sorting features but it also delivers full text when ALREaDY FREE in PubMed Central.

The interface is insulting

Why do doctors have to deal with subpar app designs, while every cottage industry can develop innovative apps with modern user interfaces. This iPad interface needs resuscitation. Come on folks!

Won’t allow access after I paid.

I paid for this app and it worked for a while but now it’s claiming to not recognize my email or password and says “user may have been deleted”.

Why would they take my money and then delete me?

Response from developer

You are likely entering the wrong email or password. Please send that email to info@bestmededuc.org and we will fix your account. Alternative would be to register a new account with another email. There is also a forgot password feature. Please note, we use your email to store your activity on the app. The subscriptions will go through your Apple ID and these 2 emails can be different. The app will contact Apple to check your payment receipt regardless of your login email. Hope this clarifies. Terrible interface; they just want your information. You get one free search then they want you to pay.

We only use your email to store your activity on the app..like your favorites and saved files. We do not give your email to other parties. Of course, you will get emails from BSE regarding improvements and app features, but that is usually less than once a week. Most users welcome that and actually want daily follow-up emails. As for the payment, most subscriptions are free for the first week. You are welcome to cancel risk free after trying multiple searches. You can also claim a refund from Apple quite easily. These situations have never happened. BSE

Best tool for literature search

We use Pubmed to write our manucripts and this app has been very useful to help us pull out relevant data. App is very responsive!

Pubmed at its best

Love the responsiveness of the app. I usually use Pubmed between seeing patients and its mobile version is a perfect fit for me. I collaborate with my research residents better now!

Highly recommend

These developers have done a great job with the app. The best Pubmed app out there and is practically very useful. The programmers forgot about Dark Mode and this needs fixing!

Perfect for residents

I usually search for phrases before scrubbing into case. A very easy way to know the latest developments in surgery and I have been impressing my attending ever since I downloaded it!

Love the results from app

Studies organized by impact factor of journal..very important in the current day with so many publications and journals. It also organizes studies by sample size. A unique invention that has more value than it costs. I would have paid more for this app!
