Knightfall is a classic action platformer with a pixel-art heart. You play a lone knight working through a series of handcrafted levels, each one a little trickier than the last. The rules are simple. Reach the flag at the end of the stage. Everything between you and that flag is the hard part: spinning saws, fire pits, spike traps and enemies that patrol the platforms. You can jump on their heads or cut them down with your sword, whichever feels better in the moment. Every level hides a set of fruit to collect. You can rush straight for the exit, or take the risky route and go for a perfect run. Trampolines bounce you to places you can't normally reach, and three hearts give you just enough room to make a mistake or two.
