It’s a scam
They “lock” you into a year subscription without your knowledge. They you have to pay extra to get out of the subscription. It’s just photos, why would you have to pay to get out of it?
Membership Can’t Download Previously “Bought” Pictures!
I like the iStock service, but the app isn’t done well. I’ve had a subscription for months now, and downloaded the app to make mobile posts on social media. Last week I downloaded previous pictures onto my phone while I had credits. And it didn’t charge me any credits of course. But now, I have no credits, and I can’t download any of the images I already own! Makes no sense, so now I have to wait until my subscription renews to download images I already have?

Once iStockPhoto gets your credit card number they’ll never stop charging you

Before using iStockPhoto I had a great impression of Getty as being ethical, but no more. You’d think that iSTock would be a lower cost version of Getty suitable for grabbing an image for your website, but its actually a scam to keep charging your credit card no matter what.
I downloaded an image for a project figuring I’d cancel the subscription, but iStockPhoto customer service outright says they’ll keep charging my card unless I close my credit card account. I’ve tried reporting the credit card stolen and getting a new card number, but somehow iStock got my new card number from Amex. Disputing the charges also didn’t work.
Do yourself a favor and find a reputable supplier of stock images.

Can’t buy stock photos
Seems you can download images with the photographers name prominantly displayed on the photo but you can’t buy the image as a stock photo to use. So frustrating after spending hours looking for the right photo to buy.
STAY AWAY
I did a free trial with this company. I never ended up using the subscription because the photos on the site were outdated. After my trial ended I went online to unsubscribe along with deleting all my card information. The company continues to charge me and now I have to dispute it with my bank. It’s NOT worth it.

Extremely would NOT RECOMMEND. customer service never help you. it is 70$ each month just for downloading images???!!! And if you want to cancel the plan, cancellation fee is 70$ as well ))) They want just EARN MONEY EARN MONEY by anyway. And even images are don't worth for the prices.

Horrible.
I thought I would be able to use istock on my cellphone but apparently this app is just useless to me. I can't even see my recent searches or search for what I want (it just says they can't find anything, but how??? doesn't make sense) I'm very disappointed. The website is MUCH better.

Obviously they’ve not updated it in ages. Should be just pulled from the App Store.
Outrageous
Absolutely do NOT get! The subscription is $700 for the year! If you try to cancel it, you have to pay a $70 administrative fee. You can’t talk to anyone over the phone and everything is done via email and the “customer service team” does not provide any helpful service to the customer. What a scam.

They offer me a free trial then refuses to cancell without a $425 payment. Pick someone else that’s a it more transparent.

Every picture says how many credits to purchase but I cannot did any place to purchase credits makes it frustrating.

Greedy company
For the amount of money they want i might as well pay the artist or find the dame photos online. There are much better stock photo apps out there.
Horrible experience
Very bad glitching app, was unable to buy the subscription I wanted to as the system just wouldn’t let me do it. Tech support first said they would fix it, then asked double the payment just to do it, then stopped replying all together. Horrible service and experience.
