Fun and interesting.
This is a fun app, you choose where you want to go on a map (from a short list) and get a recording of Stella and her activities. Sort of a “choose-your-own” visit.
The intro map appears to be “antique” so it’s hard to find the starting point. Once you are going, your pin (using GPS) follows you along to the next point. You must match your pin to the location mark on the map, not always easy to do.
The scenes don’t always follow a logical order. For instance, we chose to follow Stella to a mark after she had met some local sailors, then the next mark was when she first met them. A step backwards in time. I may not have explained that clearly, but if you are using the app you will understand.
Stella’s voice is good and clear, nicely paced, easy to understand. The sound effects are well done, too.
Each person should have their own phone for convenience. A data plan is required, no Wi-Fi around.
