Still loading

I’ve been waiting all day for the content to load. Been sitting at 548/549 files loaded and can’t get into the app at all. I’m in Rome now and don’t have time for this not to work, esp for the price. So frustrated.

Update: I want my money back. Still hasn’t loaded.

Response from developer

We are very sorry for your problem, the app at first start must dowload over 500mb of datas (photo, audio, video) and with a mobile connection sometimes it can get hard. If the dowload stucks the best thing to do is: 1) Delete the app from the iPhone 2) Reinstall it again from the app 3) Start and wait for the contents download Of course you can ask for a full refund contacting Apple Store. :(

Great City; Superficial App

Gives you a ~5 paragraph story that is long-winded and could be reduced to one paragraph. For what I paid, I expected more detail.

Great app!

We just returned from rome and used this app all over the city - we loved being able to skip the lines for audio guides in several places and just use this app! Highly recommended. Of course it works great in airplane mode and I bought headphone splitters so my husband and I could each use our own headphones.

Amazing!

Trying to make sense of documentaries and tangling with confusing maps made it hard to plan.

Particularly for a first timer like me, the audio and pictures helped me understand the significance of buildings in a full and easily understandable way.

I also enjoyed the artsy map which makes finding things a lot easier than many other apps I've tried - especially since this app has the option to show only attractions and zooms into specific areas.

If get it again if I could -without a doubt!

One of the best for Rome!

Kids loved the fanfare and music. It held their attention at the sites. Like the offline capability. Love your website too!

Don't miss this app!

This app was excellent for planning my first trip to Rome. Advice about where to stay was spot-on. The video guide was inspiring, and now that I have returned from Rome, it is fun to review places I visited while I was there! Please make this app for other major cities in Italy!

Excellent!!

Not as informative or interactive as expected

Although quite pretty i was expecting something much more interactive for the high price. The worst part is that you can't zoom out on the map so it is difficult to see where something is if you are not familiar with the area. I also expected more pictures of an area and the history to be more in-depth...again I expected much more for the price. It is basically a short summary that I could have read on wikipedia. After using it this weekend, I consider my purchase a waste of money. I should have done what the other reviewer recommended and just listened to them from their website.

Incredible!!

Must have app for any trip to Rome...incredible.

Not for the iPad!

I fell for the little HD tag in the corner and assumed it was iPad compatible. Didn't figure it out until too late. First HD app I bought that was not made for iPad.

Rome

Awesome guide. Content is well put together. Nice history about each site.

Nice design

It's well designed and good audio quality, kinda a bit of everything nothing in real depth. The strange thing is this group gives almost all the audio used here on iTunes podcast for free, Rick Steves dose this too. I guess the maps, pics and some more audio is worth the cost but it's worth downloading the free stuff first. Search 'Vatican tour' or 'Rome tour' also on iTunes there's tons of free material from other companies too, like Rick steves and dk then you can better decide who's material you like and most of them have pay apps.
