So close. So disappointing

I love iterm2. Use it for all my development and love running many tabs with many sessions across services. The announcement of this service talked about the ai orchestration but also remote terminal access— exactly what I want. Unfortunately, I’m sure that plans changed over time, you can’t have it without supplying an ai key. Why? Because, I suspect, the designed feature was the chatbot orchestration. If you’re serious about development, though, you’ve used things like Claude code and codex remote. You’ve also likely got dozens of existing orchestration models and tools you already built. It’s silly to make trying the remote access (something amazing and valuable) REQUIRE giving a confidential key for a service you don’t want. I would likely try it safely with a secondary key at some point, but the ‘trust me you can remove it later’ approach is a trust buster.
