I got this thinking it would work on my Mac. All things are updated and all it says is searching ….not once has it connected. Sad.

Hi! Itsytv on Mac is a menu bar app — a tiny TV icon in the top-right, not a Dock tile. On MacBooks with a notch, macOS silently hides menu bar icons that don't fit behind the notch. Hold ⌘ Cmd and drag unused icons off the menu bar; when Itsytv reappears, ⌘-drag it somewhere safe.

Das ist mit Abstand die beste Apple TV Remote App. Einmalzahlung. Funktioniert sofort. Ultra schnell. Sieht gut aus. Anpassbar. Alles aufgeräumt. Widget. Übertrifft die Apple-eigene. Hab auch sofort die andere App von Entwickler gekauft und bin ULTRA zufrieden. So sollten Apps sein. Sorry, kann das nicht genug loben. Schreibe seltenes Rezensionen. Die hier hat es verdient.

Die beste Fernbedienungs-App die ich je probiert habe, das allerbeste ist, sie ist kostenlos und auf Deutsch. Klasse 👍

Excellent remote control app

This app works really well to control the Apple TV - I especially love the apps list and also the ability to jump directly to any position in the video. My only suggestion is to add 30s skip forward/backward buttons which would be useful to skip ads when using Plex to watch recorded TV.

Die beste App Fernbedienung fürs AppleTV die ich bislang ausprobieren konnte. Der Entwickler reagiert sofort auf Verbesserungsvorschläge und hat diese schnell umgesetzt. Film Beschreibungen jetzt auf Deutsch und Bildschirm aktiv lassen wurden sofort umgesetzt. Jetzt noch ein Widget für den Sperrbildschirm wäre super.

Best remote ever.

I use this more than the physical remote. We all know that hardware OEM remote is finicky. I love how it shows me all my info on screen. The latest update gave me great features. Definitely recommend this for your Apple TV set up. You always have your phone with you anyway.

….. eine deutsche Übersetzung wäre noch schön und die Verknüpfung mit der deutschen IMDB. Da s Widget wird im Glass-Modus auch nur als weißer Kasten dargestellt. Somit noch einiges zu tun.

Update: wow, das ging ja schnell. Deutsche Übersetzung!
Nun für mich perfekt, deswegen auch fünf Sterne.

Volume & mute buttons not working on Itsytv remote. Could you please fix on the next update?

I’m still having to use my AppleTV remote for the volume for (tried for Hulu, etc & can’t the volume / mute button to work). Thanks.

Edit: might be due to using an older TV that doesn’t have the CEC protocol

Hi! Please check Apple TV settings - Remotes and Devices - Volume Control. If it is set to Auto via IR then it is not possible to control the volume using iPhone, as it does not have an infrared transmitter unlike the Siri remote. Only HDMI is supported. Sincerely hope that you enjoy the app otherwise and will consider changing the rating to a more positive. Thanks Nick

For me this is better than Apples app, but i really miss the dynamic Island support of the original.

Instant buy as I found out all it could do!

Thank you so much for this, it’s perfect! I don’t know if this is possible but it would be great if the iMDb integration could link to the episode page of a show instead of the show itself. That’s the only thing I can think about right to improve the app even more. But as I said, it’s perfect as it is right now. Thank you again!

Nice app, but can’t figure out how to get the apps to load.

Very snappy and customizable. But I can’t get the app icons to load on any iPad, iPhone or Mac. Message always says ‘Apps will appear once connected’. I’ve tried restarting the Apple TV and App but no luck. What’s the trick?

Fantastic Remote App

This is a great replacement for iOS inbuilt TV controls. It’s worth it just for giving me a Mute button for my 4K gen 1, but it does so much more. Quick access to TV apps is another plus.

The only minor niggle I can find is that sometimes media background art can make it hard to read media text. An option to turn art off would be nice. Nevertheless, a solid 5-star app.

Funktioniert nur teilweise

Die Hauptoberfläche zum Bedienen des Apple TVs funktioniert so wie es sein sollte, aber die „Apps“-Seite lädt und lädt und lädt, aber es passiert nichts. Ich hatte gehofft, darüber schnell zB zu den Streaming-Diensten wechseln zu können, ohne über das Hauptmenü gehen zu müssen, aber falsch gedacht! Leider gibt es keine Testversion der App, daher sind die 5,99€ eine glatte Fehlinvestition.

… 1. Wenn möglich Zahlentasten für TV-Apps wie z.B. Magenta und Waipu zur Programmumschaltung einfügen. 2. Tipp auf eine App startet das AppleTV und die angetippte App. 3. Synchronisierungsmöglichkeit der Einstellungen // DANKE FÜR DIE TOLLE ARBEIT.
