Apple gave up
This used to be a solid product but Apple has given up on it. They are letting it die on the vine.
Useful but outdated
Apple Music seems to get updated with each os visually and functionally. I love changing the music on my MacBook from my iPad and iPhone but I wish it was a seamless experience. I would’ve liked to see improvements to this app 10 years ago
iTunes Remote is Amazing
I love being lazy and controlling my music from my chair in the backyard and I couldn’t do that if I didn’t have an iTunes remote.
Understated hero
Working from home with my tunes on my mac, and my work laptop separate, I get access to my entire library, and don’t need to see my mac screen to adjust or select the music. I love it’s simplicity.
meh, could do so much more
I use remote to control Apple Music on a dedicated MacBook plugged into my stereo system. If only the app would allow the user to play music not currently in the user’s Apple Music library. If I read an article about a new artist or song and want to listen, I must walk over to the laptop to queue up whatever I want to play. No matter which devices are being used, remote tends to drop its Wi-Fi signal and again I have to walk over to the laptop. At least I’m getting my steps in. Remote could be so much better. But it kind of sucks.

Doesn't work properly with latest version of MacOS
This app has been broken since the release of MacOS Sequoia. When attempting to play an album in a local music library, the entire album doesn't play. It plays one song and then stops. The same issue exists for playlists. Either the app needs to be updated to work with Sequoia, or the Music app in Sequoia needs to be changed to be compatible with Remote.

Still broken…. No surprise
Still only plays 1 song then stops, regardless of being at the start, middle or end of a playlist. A known problem for donkeys years which apple cares not a smegging iOta…. Dear Me

Come on Apple, you have your name on this. I am sure if you assign this to a couple of your many interns, they would jump all over this.
Indispensable App
This App is the best. I broadcast music to multiple Bluetooth connections all over my house from my MacBook which is connected to an old PC with an external hard drive with close to a TB of music that acts as a server. The Remote app lets me always make sure my playlist is top notch and full of my favorite songs.

This app has lost almost all of its functionality because apple refuses to update it. Shame because it makes for the perfect home music system

Apple’s Remote app lets me access, control and play that entire musical history across multiple devices. It quietly does something no streaming service can replace: it keeps a lifetime of personally collected music alive and accessible.
Apple, please don’t take this away. Some music collections can’t be replaced by the cloud.

doesn’t work
I have Tahoe 26.6.2 and both my ipad and iphone are ios 26.6.1 and neither will connect. as like everyone else, i can enter the 4 digit code then apple music on my mac says it’s connected, you hit ok and the device disappears. It doesn’t even show my proper device name, just iphone or ipad. I want to be able to control the music on my mac so I can get the benefit of the better eq on the mac and share to my homepods.. Another epic fail for apple when it comes to anything with home sharing or the home app.

Artist mode does not continue to play when track is skipped
Won’t fast forward or rewind then continue playing next track after playing current one on artist mode like it did in the past
Remote access your Mac
This works excellent as I’ve burnt all of my CD connection onto my Mac which is plugged into a high-quality hi-fi system in our sitting room will never get rid of this excellent app!
