No Sound and No Support for ITV News App on Up to Date IPhone 15
No sound on this app for me. Tried support but there is no support for this app.
Locked orientation
I only have an iPad and because of accessibility issues I can only use it in landscape mode, sadly this app doesn’t support landscape and is locked in portrait mode making it unreadable. I suspect it’s the only news app like that. If it changes and becomes more user friendly I will happily revisit and revise this review accordingly.

poor quality and does not update
whenever i open this app it is always on the page i opened a day or two before. any news app is pointless if it doesn’t regularly refresh. bbc app is so much better

Why do you think I am interested in IOM news in your area when I live in Lancashire. Please give me the option to see what I want in my local area instead of what you want me to see
App does not refresh
On opening app it loads to last page seen, doesn’t refresh. If I last opened yesterday and go to Home, will still be on yesterdays stories, have to manually refresh it. Also stories not updated and often find older versions of stories still in feed.

This is a good app for national and local news but can you allow bookmarking for stories?

More balanced Journalism
Unlike other news apps ITV news reports a more balanced picture of what’s happening in Gaza. The BBC give a more biased portrayal. I’ve had no issues with this app on the iphone.

Sunday no fresh news just yesterdays, what a rubbish app this is.
Does nobody proof read???
The App is ok, but nearly every story has some grammatical or spelling error, or has a sentence that just doesn’t make sense because words are missing!! Is nothing proof read or checked before posting?
Popular stories not working
As previous comments, popular stories will not load. Been like this for a few weeks now. Deleted and reinstalled but makes no difference. Needs fixing please

Somethings not working message
The Popular section has stopped working and just reads “Sorry, something went wrong”. Yes I have reloaded the app, plus waited a week to see if some IT person was going to fix. Will be deleting app now as annoying.
Local news
I keep wanting to change the local news from border to highland but the app will not let me. How do I change it.
Sudden Failure of iTv News
Since ~10 days ago, the App cannot open normally. I deleted it & reinstalled it, but the problem still persists.

Looking for another app as I'm getting increasingly frustrated with the BBC and it's take an approach to reporting. Woke etc is beyond the joke now.
This ITV app appeared to be quite good, I did enjoy the easy to layout, There are not windows popping up left right and centre, it is a straightforward scroll down and What is saying read, or don't read format.
However, updates are very slow to arrive, not sure if there are push notifications or not? As another reviewer mentioned – I find it frustrating not being able to see categories, or even a search facility.
One thing the BBC do have is an excellent search and category option, even the ability to edit your own news subjects, but that is all I feel it offers me at the moment.
I was hoping this ITV would be for me, but sending me off to the website every time I seem to click on something is failing the intention of a "app" completely.
If there was an imminent update with some practicality attached to it, I will be back to it like a shot.
