Awesome App

IziCast is an excellent app that I rely on whenever I travel within the United States or throughout the Caribbean. It delivers reliable performance, great streaming quality, and works flawlessly every time.

Needs some updates

I like it cause I do live broadcasting from my iPad, wish it had midi learn, crossfade, way to update song pics live, and a way to encode an external audio source like a mixer feed, but honestly do like it! If it had that it be perfect! Definitely 5 stars

Needs auv3 Plugin Option

I have Loopy Pro and want to send audio to izicast as auv3 plugin so I can stream to listeners on the internet. So far I can’t get it to work.

Great app, would like more video options

This app is perfect for musicians with support for external audio interfaces and audio bus to process the signal using all the sound processing apps on the App Store. I would like the developers to add similar features for video processing by providing different filters and supporting external mirrorless and web cameras to make the video of the stream more engaging.

Does not connect to an external app, only works for incoming audio into the app not what I needed, definitely getting a refund for this!

Maybe you should read the app description next time before buying an app or write the dev a quick mail instead of blindly buying it and slap the dev with a 1 star review because you are disappointed.

Cracking app

Just got me out of a hole: had to play an hour of live jazz on an internet radio station but was miles away from studio in a carpark waiting for some one (dad taxi vibe).. izicast not inly just worked but with carts, ducking, metadata and more! Full 5/5 from me!

To get a 6 id like less latency on airpod / bluetooth monitoring of mic but i know thats a hard one! Also would be great to be able to properly use streaming apple music rather than itunes downloads only… but this things is great.

Unfortunately, iOS/iPadOS do only support one external input device.

Very Powerful

Our radio station (CJUC)uses iziCast as the backbone of our remote broadcasting kit. We can broadcast live from anywhere in the world to our main feed in Whitehorse,Yukon Canada over wifi or cell service. Thanks Daniel for such an innovative and useful app!

Not bad although missing 2 important features.

I do love the user friendliness of this app however it does lack 2 important features, the addition of which, would enhance it 100%: 1. A countdown timer. For times when broadcasting and you need to know when a track finishes to avoid ‘dead air’ 2. A cross-fade function on the main screen to allow smooth flow of music … ** it does have the feature but you need to open a separate window in order to access which prevents you from actually playing a new song to cross fade

Addition to the edit .. I would like to commend Daniel, the developer, for his excellent customer service. I emailed him with an issue caused by an update and it was fixed and the new fix was available in the App Store with hours or receiving my email … his communication with me was outstanding … for that reason alone, along with what I’ve already said in my previous review, I highly recommend this app for all broadcasters

Hello Karaokekyle, thanks for your feedback. I think the features you are asking for are already available. 1. Tap on the playback duration in the Music Control field to switch from elapsed to remaining time 2. You can use the two mixer presets to fade smoothly from one mixer setting to the other How to setup: 1. Tap on Preset 1. 2. Set Music to 0 % and Mic to 100 %. 3. Tap an Preset 2. 4. Set Music to 100 % and Mic to 0%. Now you can automatically fade between Music and Mic by just tapping the Preset 1 and Preset 2 button. The fading speed can be change in the iziCast settings. The setting is called "Preset transition speed" I hope this improves your broadcasting experience with iziCast! Best, Daniel

Wir betreiben einen Web-Radiosender mit verschiedenen Studios. Ich suchte also eine App, mit der mein IPhone auf einfachste Weise Musik zu den Hörern bringen kann. Also fand ich Izi-Cast. Da nicht alles so war, wie gewünscht, schrieb ich den Ersteller an, der meine Wünsche zu 100% einbrachte, was ich so bisher noch nicht erlebt habe. Es entstand der Mikrofon-Button, die Möglichkeit, Lautstärke anzupassen und verschiedene Streamarten zu nutzen.
Was mir besonders zusagt ist, dass das Streamen weder durch Messenger, noch durch Anrufe gestört wird. Ich kann also Nachrichten abhören, Fragen und Wünsche der Hörer beantworten und nichts davon stört in irgendeiner Form die Übertragung.
Auch toll ist die freie Auswahl der Mikrofone (und das IPhone hat ne Menge davon). Meine Kollegen hören kaum einen Unterschied zu teurer Studiotechnik.
Alles in allem ist das eine der besten Apps mit einem top Ersteller, die ich je auf dem IPhone hatte.

Das Zuschalten des Mikrofons übersteuert extrem. Was kann man dagegen tun?

Hallo, wenn du unten links auf den Lautsprecher klickst, öffnen sich die Audiooptionen. Dort kannst du die allgemeine Lautstärke und weitere Lautstärken regeln. Sollte dir die Info weitergeholfen haben, überdenke bitte dein 1-Sterne review. Ansonsten schreibe mir bitte eine Mail an izicast@danielnoethen.de. Über Mail lässt sich besser kommunizieren. Needs auv3 Plugin Option

I have Loopy Pro and want to send audio to izicast like I can with Sonobus via an auv3 plugin. For the price point I’m disappointed that this is not an option.

All kinds of awesome!

I’ve been hosting a prerecorded radio show on TOPCATRADIO.eu Recently I was asked to do a weekly live show in addition to the prerecorded one. I travel a lot so I wanted to test this app to see if it could be done with as little equipment as possible. So what usually takes at list a computer to transmit another device to play the music a mixer etc. Now I can do with a small interface and an iPad. Since this app plays the music from within. It also has buttons to trigger samples. Everything you need. It connected from the servers in EU with no problem I was up and running right of way. I do have a wish list. 1. In the playlist section when you import the song it would be nice to have a visual aid of where the song is from beginning to end. 2. An independent volume control of the player so that you can raise or lower the volume within the app in case you want to talk or if an older recording is too soft. But it does work just as it is. Great job I highly recommend it.

Wish list:

1. When playing a song to have a timer or visual cue of when it’s going to end.

2. Integration with Spotify. It would be nice to be able to play Spotify playlists.

Hello, I am sorry that you are having connection issues. Which codec and bitrate are you using? If you are using a mobile connection please make sure it is stable. Also it might help selecting a lower bitrate. Best, Daniel

Great but could be better

A mic toggle button to engage mic as it automatically lowers audio output volume for voice, and resume full output level after disengaging the mic toggle button. Also having a 2 deck layout with a fader to cross fade music from deck A to deck B during live presentations will further enhance smooth operability.

Performance

This is an excellent app. Always ready to broadcast. I wish for this app to be developed in ways that will allow live broadcast of music or other contents by looping those facilities into this app to broadcast on the go on mobile phones. I pray.
