About

Jambolaya is one app with more than 140 board, card, puzzle, word and arcade games. Play together, each on your own phone or tablet. No internet needed: the phones connect directly to each other. Play on a plane, in the car, camping, at the pub or at home. Up to 7 players at one table. Everyone plays in their own language (10 languages). Interactive lessons teach almost every game step by step. Every game is free to play alone or against the computer, with no ads and no account. Screens often keep us apart, even at home. Jambolaya uses them to bring people together. Play together, right where you are • One person creates a group and shares its short code. Everyone else joins with the code. • Not enough people? Add computer players to fill the empty seats. • Everyone sees menus and games in their own language, so a grandparent and a grandchild can play together in different languages. More than 140 games • Board games: Chess, Checkers, Backgammon, Dominoes, Reversi, Four-in-a-Row, Snakes & Ladders, Chinese Checkers, Mancala, Go, Nine Men's Morris, Yacht, Farkle and many more. • Card games: Hearts, Spades, Bridge, Gin Rummy, Rummy, Crazy Eights, Go Fish, Old Maid, Euchre, Whist, President, Durak, Scopa and many more. • Solitaire and puzzles: Klondike, FreeCell, Spider, Mahjong Solitaire, Sudoku Duel, Nonogram, Jigsaw, Tangram, Pipes and more. • Brain and word games: Word Search, Anagram Twist, Word Ladder, Code Breaker, Math Sprint, Odd One Out and more. • Reading practice: letters, sounds and words, with a font option that keeps look-alike letters apart. • Quick arcade games: Pool, Air Hockey, Darts 3D, Bowling 3D, Mini-Golf 3D, Carrom and more. Easy to learn, easy to read • "Learn to play" lessons teach almost every game step by step, on the real board. You make the moves yourself. • "How it works" shows the whole app in a short slideshow, with read-aloud. • Big, clear pieces and cards. Settings add extra letter spacing and an easier-to-read font, and the reading games can show bigger letters. • 10 languages: English, Dutch, German, French, Spanish, Russian, Hebrew, Arabic, Italian and Portuguese. What's free and what's paid • Free: every game, played alone or against the computer. No ads, no account, no sign-up. • Free in a group: creating and joining groups, and 7 games played together — Tic-Tac-Toe, Checkers, Crazy Eights, Tower Stack, Cannon Battle, Odd One Out and Word Search. • Paid: to play all the other games together in a group, the host buys "All games hosting" once. Only the host pays: everyone who joins plays every game for free. Your privacy • No account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking. • Nothing you do in the app is sent to us. Your progress and settings stay on your device. Good to know • How many players a device can host depends on its hardware. Newer devices host more; a few very old devices can only join. The app picks a safe number for your device by itself. • "All games hosting" includes games we add later. We may update games, and we may retire a game for legal, licensing, technical or safety reasons. If we retire a game, we will add a comparable new game in its place. Questions? What's New in Jambolaya

1.0.4

• Play reminders: a short reminder to play now and then, never at night, and you can turn them on or off in Settings. • Other players now see the name you chose, not your device name: on invites, at the table and on your own seat. • Best-of-3 series: the computer can win the series too, and when you lose, the result card names who won. • Solitaire games (Golf Solitaire, Tri-Peaks, Mahjong Solitaire, Pyramid, Klondike, FreeCell, Spider) end and show your result when no moves are left. • Crate Push tells you when a level can no longer be solved, so you can undo or restart. • Playing alone: the board stops when the round ends, so the result always matches the score. • Races are fair: you see your rival's progress, not their board. • Chinese Checkers and Halma: a player who can't move passes, so the game no longer gets stuck. • Old Maid and Crazy Eights: some rare endings are fixed. • Checkers (English): when only kings move, the game is a draw after 40 moves each without progress, with a countdown. • Dominoes: a blocked game shows the pip totals that decided it. • Bigger player names on tablets and foldable phones. • "How it works" now fits every phone. • Hebrew and Arabic result cards read correctly on small phones. • The menu button no longer covers part of Mancala, Yacht, Crokinole or Jigsaw. • Groups you host: a player who left can come back in about 8 seconds instead of over a minute.
